Toward Ecosophy

Regarding "being in the dark": how does one factor in the morality of 'willful' ignorance? Sure, maybe some people, somewhere, couldn't access solid information, but it wasn't many. I've got plenty that keeps my day busy, and I don't lead a three letter agency. After about 3 months of the crazy, without access to deep state secrets, I could pretty well smell the dead fish somewhere. I knew to stay away. Now, granted, I read a lot. But, is sticking your fingers in your ears, closing your eyes, and singing "la la la la la!" at the top of your lungs being "in the dark"? I guess, by only the loosest definition though.
