I agree that this is far from over. The people behind this mess have too much to lose (like everything) by simply saying, 'oops, my bad.' There will be another push. I think this whole cooties scam is just part of an effort to push us into some obscene, soul dead technocracy.
Of course trust in the media and authorities is dropping. Psychology of previous investment aside, it does seem more people are realizing they've been played. Maybe this is the thrust block that might help break this totalitarian hard sell.
At least to me, this side is simply about being able to live and let live, to go about our lives without being coerced, gas lit, and micro managed. If someones okay with that, I'm okay with them. If they are otherwise, I will have a strong dislike for them, no apologies. If they change their minds and mellow out, we can talk.
