1) I don't recommend visualizing their popular depiction at all. Rather, clear your mind and see how they want to appear to you.
2) To a limited extent. You can do the Druidical LBRP and Exercise of the Central Ray (the Middle Pillar equivalent) for the ritual aspect of daily practice in the FHR, but beyond that I recommend following one or the other.
3) I'm far from sure where it comes from -- certainly it shows up in Theosophical lore, but I don't happen to know where the Theosophists might have gotten it. In my understanding, the Solar Logos is the god of this solar system, or if you prefer a polytheist vision, the supreme god of this solar system, with the star logoi and the Lords of Flame as either archangels and angels or lesser gods, depending on what symbolic language you use.
