Open (More Or Less) Post On Covid 16
Nov. 23rd, 2021 12:40 pm
The semi-open posts I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments, so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before: 1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, as the mass media insists that it's perfectly normal for pro athletes to drop dead of heart attacks at sixty times the usual rate, and search engines turn up a steadily increasing series of hits for the search string "died suddenly," the floor is open for discussion.

Date: 2021-11-23 05:58 pm (UTC)Thank you JMG for hosting us.
Do you have any indication of how long this can go on?
Everything governments are doing just reeks of desperation.
On another note the guardian and others are resorting to outright propaganda.

My favourite bits:
Authored by Anonymous
" and a majority of fit, healthy, younger people unvaccinated by choice"
"The approvals process was incredibly stringent"
"unvaccinated – my patience with them is wearing thin"
And of course no hard data to back up any of those claims.
Kind regards

Date: 2021-11-23 06:11 pm (UTC)Nothing unusual this week, so I'll probably post again in a couple weeks – assuming things keep up; anything major will be posted in both this blog and in the main blog.
One thing to note, though – it has been eight months since my second COVID-19 shot, and from what I can tell whatever immunity from identifying Coronavirus spikes should have faded by now. This, of course, leads to two possible issues – continued spike production in the face of dropping immunity, and continued immunity possibly leading to overproduction of defenses. I wouldn't be surprised if our bodies evolved a time limitation on Coronavirus spike immunity to prevent overreaction on a sort of virus that seems to usually be defended against easily.

This would be for overproduction of defenses.
On the other side Sandor Ellix Katz and “The art of Fermentation” credits fermented foods I.e. sauerkraut, kimchi, and natto etc. With helping keeping him healthy while having HIV.
I do hope this helps. I eat a lot of fermented foods i.e. sauerkraut, kimch and kefir too help with depression and anxiety issues.
State of things on the ground in Europe?

Re: State of things on the ground in Europe?
Date: 2021-11-24 05:41 pm (UTC)It appears to me that what any given European government may do or not do at any time is highly unpredictable, not coordinated, based to some degree on domestic political pressures which may be difficult to parse out, even if you are living there and regularly reading the news. (I suppose it goes without saying that the MSM isn't much help towards actually understanding the actual situation...)
So I would say, who knows? It could work out for your friend. Or not. It depends on many factors, including what he's doing and where in the country he is.
In general, in Europe, the restrictions have been imposed and lifted, to an extent, in a chaotic and increasingly tyrannical fashion, with the beginning and ending of the winter flu season, so I would expect that, even in the worst of cases, by springtime 2022 things will have lifted-- many of those vaxxes will no longer be valid without boosters, which would lead me to think that...
Oh, heck, why try to make sense out of this, none of it ever made sense.
You know what, maybe this is something to ask Kimberly Steele. https://kimberlysteele.dreamwidth.org
PS I would strongly suggest that any unvaxxed US citizen living abroad keep the contact info for their US embassy and nearest consulate in their wallet, and for getting out, have a Plan B, Plan C, and Plan D.

Date: 2021-11-23 06:27 pm (UTC)Given the new lockdowns in Europe, are you seeing that we're around step 10 in your original hypothesis? Any changes that you'd make to your original theory given the data since that first covid post?
(Not sure if I can bring up details, so please censor if out of line) In your most recent mundane astrology, you made a case for a major misstep by the Supreme Court next year. The only legal case I know is the upcoming vaccine mandate after it gets through the 6th circuit. Do you think the SC is likely to go in favor of the feds? The 5th circuit halt on Biden's mandate was pretty scathing.
To the other commentators,
The US is usually about a month behind covid lockdowns in Europe. If you're in one of the hard blue cities, now's the time to stock up and prepare to hunker down. Best wishes and prayers to all of you.
At this point, I'm not sure how long the narrative will stand. Theres so many cracks in the dam showing up that it feels like it can go anytime, but it still manages to hold. The massive protests in Europe and Australia, the rising stories on otherwise healthy teens and athletes dropping dead or having heart problems, the rising all cause mortality rates in places like Scotland or even Pfizer not releasing its vaccine data till 2076. I'm thankful for the timing of peak oil as it limits the transhumanist orwellian dystopia we'd be heading to otherwise.

Date: 2021-11-23 10:36 pm (UTC)In the book "The Green Man" by Kingsley Amis, there is a great dialogue between the protagonist and God. The protagonist asks about his own death and God answer is to the effect that "don't worry, by that time you will be tired of living and happy to join me".
This is how I feel in regards to Peak Oil and Civilization Collapse. 15 years ago I was so scared that I had panic attacks about them. Now I embrace them as our saviors - if not physically, at least in spirit.
I cannot image a worse future than a rich energy techno-totalitarian one where the natural world is completely dead but people still survive.
So I guess there is a silver lining to all this trauma...

Date: 2021-11-23 06:44 pm (UTC)Here’s a gem from the first article:
Here is the point; and here the thread: All our seemingly credentialised memes are hollow, in the same way Gates’ understanding of biology is. “Early on in the pandemic, to get a sense of Gates’s views”, Tucker says, “I watched his TED talks. I began to realize something astonishing. He knew much less than anyone could discover by reading a book on cell biology from Amazon. He couldn’t even give a basic 9th-grade-level explanation of viruses and their interaction with the human body. And yet here he was, lecturing the world about the coming pathogen and what should be done about it. His answer is always the same: more surveillance, more control, more technology”.
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2021/11/22/ideological-fanatacism-the-folly-of-seeing-human-systems-as-hardware/
And here’s one from the second article:
Dr. Venkayya began to fish around for people who could come up with the domestic equivalent of Operation Desert Storm to deal with a new virus. He found no serious epidemiologists to help. They were too smart to buy into it. He eventually bumped into the real lockdown innovator working at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico.
His name was Robert Glass, a computer scientist with no medical training, much less knowledge, about viruses. Glass, in turn, was inspired by a science fair project that his 14-year-old daughter was working on.

Date: 2021-11-23 10:46 pm (UTC)Figuring out how our expectations for normal life were so violently foiled, how our happy lives were brutally crushed, will consume serious intellectuals for many years.
Things weren't exactly hunky-dory in 2019. I feel like a great many stressors were building to a breaking point. It was just a question of what was going to knock the whole house of cards down. Turns out it was Covid.

However, that was almost a month after showing the symptoms and treatment, and I can't find anything to tell me how long the anti-bodies last. I've thought that I may have gotten Covid back in early 2020, but a mild case and not confirmed. Guess I'm in a gray area. Not understanding one's immunity status via testing is a real problem.
Anyway, I also can't find the "adverse effects" database for Ivermectin, as it appears to be a very safe drug, regardless of what it cures. Not the same story with the vaccines. Will be good to go swimming in the Illinois River this winter....:-)

Date: 2021-11-23 07:01 pm (UTC)This was posted in PP and I listened to some of the discussion today - seems promising and has successfully gone through phase 3 trials in Iran:
https://trialsitenews.com/dr-nikolai-petrovsky-discusses-his-novel-vaccine-for-covid-19-interview/
The vaccine is a protein subunit one with the novel element being the adjuvant (Advax) - potential for issues I guess (though this preprint appears positive:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34562856/) but at least it doesn't force cells to produce the spike protein.
Twist in the story is, like everything, it is now having to push against the ubiquitous mRNA vaccines. Still it starts phase 4 somewhere in the Middle East I believe and is going for crowd funding to try and help get it up and running in Australia
Here's a crazy thing - the interviewee took his vaccine to show his trust in his (trial successful) product and now can't work as a clinician in Australia (or fly I guess) as he has not taken an officially mandated vaccine. Anyone in the Novavax trial is facing similar issues. It really does appear all vaccines are not the same. World of vaccines, even if you had NIH funding, isn't playing fair.

Date: 2021-11-23 07:19 pm (UTC)Since 99,99% of the media and the internet is now taken over by either the mainstream anti-virus position or the counter-mainstream anti-vaccine position, am I the only one who wishes that the volume of chattering was turned down on both sides and a space created for people who fall on the middle between the two extremes? As far as I can tell, the real health problem of the last 2 years is the increasing cognitive inability of anyone to take a measured or nuanced position, especially about this topic.
It has gotten to the point that I can hardly think of a place where one could have a nuanced or middle-of-the-road position represented. I will credit the archdruid for at least providing a polite venue here, even if the understandable scepticism against the mainstream induces most people (including the archdruid himself) to slide into increasingly stronger anti-vaccine views.
Here is a point to consider though - since everyone on both sides of this debate is very keen on listing out the various negative health effects of either the virus or the vaccine (and picking out isolated stories or selected scientific opinions from the media to support their claims), I encourage all of you to make a mental list of possible negative outcomes (including health outcomes) of a society which is divided into two resentful camps over this vaccine debate, where the middle no longer exists, except as a "no man's land" between the two trenches. Might you agree with me when I say that the possible negative impact (including health impact) of society dividing itself up in this way will likely end up being greater than both the virus and the vaccine combined?
---
As an aside, I am aware that the archdruid is not including the extreme anti-vaccine conspiracist element here in the debate. Still, I would not say that the debate here represents the middle of the road, given that there seems to be no firewall at all between reasonable and moderate criticisms of the vaccine (i.e. the vaccine cause some side-effects including in some cases, severe ones like myocarditis) and completely unbounded and speculative claims (i.e. the vaccine will cause mass die-offs, as the archdruid himself has also speculated is a possibility). In other words, this is no home for the vaccine debate "centrists" , except in the sense that the sense of decorum and polite debate promoted by the archdruid and most of his followers prevents us fence-sitters from being outright kicked or screamed down (as the conspiracists or the more rabid pro-vaccine people would do).
---
And just to disclose the personal factors in my position - yes, I was vaccinated and no, I have not suffered a single side-effect in the several months since then, although I will acknowledge that the vaccine can have side-effects for other people (it happened in my own social circle as well). I claim the right to be passionately neutral in this vaccine debate for the good of my health, as given the unhinged and hyperbolic emotionality of both the mainstream and the conspiracists, I feel I have the right to block out the hysteria, which would likely otherwise cause psychosomatic symptoms even more dangerous than either COVID-19 or the vaccine (on top of tearing apart the fabric of society, which would of course impact me and everyone else as well). I respect those here who disagree with this view, but I am only arguing for my opinions for the same reasons as everyone else here - out of concern for my own health and the health of others.

A foxxed member of my daughter's carpool just came down with symptomatic COVID (as this individual is only 14, that means her shot wore off mighty quickly). My daughter is unfoxxed and even though she tested negative, she is required by school policy to quarantine for ten days. The other members of the carpool do not have to quarantine if they test negative because they are all foxxed... even though the individual with COVID is also foxxed. Makes total sense. #Science

Date: 2021-11-23 08:03 pm (UTC)Thank you for hosting this forum. I can imagine how much time and mental energy this must take for you. Please know that your efforts have meant a very great deal to me personally, both for me to be able to comment here, and to read the comments. I continue to read all of them.
This is an uncanny time to be alive. I do not recognize the majority of the people around me, and many of them people I have known all of my life. A species of madness seems to have descended upon us. As one who knows precisely one -- yes one--other person in the city where I am living who is not vaxxed, it has been a great balm for me to be able to read this forum and know that I am not alone in my perceptions and concerns. The pressure to get vaxxed in the European city where I'm living is INTENSE, and I expect the backlash to be INTENSE as well.
P.S. So far your sword trick, as it were, is working.

Date: 2021-11-23 08:19 pm (UTC)It's kind of incredible seeing what they're doing. They attack reputable doctor like Peter McCullough who had a stellar reputation prior to the pandemic simply because he advocates for early treatment and doing something other than sitting at home until your lips turn blue and only then going to the ER to be given oxygen. This is a time of unbelievable corruption. I'm also astonished at how many "PMC" types are just fine with this status quo and who refuse to question any of it. The reason for that is simple. It's status. The elites have assigned higher status to those who embrace vaccination as the only savior while assigning low status (Trump supporting rubes) to early treatment options (horse paste). My sister has a degree in public health, so one would think she'd have some ideas or at least be interesting to talk to about this subject, but she's actually embraced the PMC ideology and won't even consider anything outside of wearing masks and vaccines. It's kind of shocking seeing how infected by this mind virus some people have become.

Date: 2021-11-23 08:20 pm (UTC)I am retired but I managed people for nearly 40 years and I would never have treat anyone in this fashion but this woman is a real vaxx-hole. I also know that it is forbidden under the Employment Standards Act here in Ontario to withhold information or otherwise bully people for questioning conditions of their employment or layoff. That is harassment.
My questions for anyone who may have some insights are:
- she confirmed that this is a "permanent" lay-off rather than a "temporary" lay-off as defined under the Covid amendments to the ESA. Given this fact, is my kid not entitled to severance and other considerations that a company usually extends to laid off employees?
- should I contact the Ministry of Labour regarding the HR woman's behavior?
Any information or advice would be most welcome. We cannot afford a lawyer at this point. If my kid is denied EI (and I did read something about the federal ministry that oversees EI advising companies to code the ROE in such a way that they can refuse to pay) it will be even more difficult for us financially.
Thanking everyone in advance.

Date: 2021-11-24 05:35 pm (UTC)Check out Strong and Free Canada.org and look for the new interview entitled "Unvaxxed Teacher Knows Her rights". This person has done her research and has made a guide available for free. Also good info on the Vaccine Choice Canada website. Most info available seems to be for Ontario. FYI The employer has to get the ROE out within 5 CALENDAR days of the first day of an interruption of earnings (whatever that means!). Also, do contact the Labour Relations Board but I would check out the advice of the above websites first. And ALWAYS keep a copy of any correspondence or a log of phone calls and notes on the conversation.
Good luck and keep fighting!

How on earth can this end well - the hope seems to be fading as the trust is being eroded for a peaceful return to normal. I am trying not to be a consipiracy theorist but why is that so damn hard.
On a plus I wrote against extension of the V pass ports in scotland and all the msps ( local politicians who replied to me ) were supportive of that and they all individually seem to be against them.

Pushback Against Unnecessary, Ill-Advised, and Unlawful Mandates of Investigational Vaccines
by Dr. Peter McCullough Nov 20, 2021
"Since the wave of public and private entity COVID-19 vaccine mandates this summer, there has been progressively stiffer resistance from a public that knows the mandates are unethical, immoral, and from a civil perspective—illegal. Because none of the COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, JNJ) are FDA approved or commercially sold by vaccine manufacturers to the public, Americans know the consent forms indicate vaccination can only be voluntary and that the vaccine products do not have proven safety or efficacy.
"Thus, the consent forms by themselves are a clear indicator that no entity can “mandate” participation in a clinical investigation or research. Rates of COVID-19 vaccination plummeted in April of 2021 when word got out that Americans were dying and becoming injured after the injection in large numbers. Analyses from Rose and McLachlan using the CDC VAERS system indicated that 50% of the deaths occurred within 48 hours, 80% within a week, and 86% of the time, there was no other explanation other than the vaccine must have triggered the death.
"From that point forward, there was a series of perverted efforts to seduce vaccination, including free donuts, beer, million-dollar raffles, college scholarships, and most recently, a free fling in a European brothel. But sadly, for the purveyors of vaccines, reasonable people felt no tasty donut or even a quickie was worth their life at the end of a needle loaded with mRNA or adenoviral DNA coding for the Wuhan Spike protein.
"The vaccine stakeholders became impatient over the summer as vaccine hesitancy appropriately grew with reports of vaccine failures in large numbers of patients resulting in hospitalization and death and clear signals that the vaccines lost their protection after a short six months. The result of these events was vaccine mandates.
"Students bore the brunt of the first wave of mandates after a few semesters of online classes; students were ready to return to campus but not at the risk of organ system injury or worse after unnecessary COVID-19 vaccination. There was pushback and even embarrassing outbreaks of COVID-19 among vaccinated students at Duke University that reminded the public again that the vaccines don’t work well enough to mandate.
"But the continued coercion picked up steam with employment. At first, they came from private companies such as health systems which had profited richly from COVID-19 hospitalizations over 2020 and 2021. There were no major US hospital outbreaks of COVID-19 due to good airflow standards and the use of reasonable contagion control methods. Yet, health systems proudly announced COVID-19 vaccine mandates and had no concerns about firing the same workers who risked their lives as frontline workers caring for patients with COVID-19, many of whom who could not benefit from a vaccine since they were naturally immune after COVID-19 recovery.
"Finally, with President Biden, OSHA, an entire wave of mandates came together that indeed pleased the vaccine stakeholders thirsting to achieve their lofty goal of “a needle in every arm” no matter how unwanted, unsafe, or ineffective the vaccines had become. The COVID-19 public vaccine program had become the epitome of forcing a failure on failure to its complete end on a public who had no desire to have repeated injections that were clearly not up to acceptable standards.
"Thus court filings, appeals, overturns, more filings have challenged a legal system that has become vaccine-corrupt under its own pressures to become vaccinated. With the suspension of jury trials, a hearing before a group of peers is no longer part of our legal process, and as a result, “fairness” has been lost.
"On this week’s Report, we will update the status of vaccine mandates and hear from pediatrician Steve Kebe, MD, who weighs in on COVID-19 in children and the dangers of ill-advised vaccination of this group, which is now largely immune, not proven to be any public health threat, and in whom the risks far outweigh the benefits of participating in vaccine research."

Date: 2021-11-23 08:55 pm (UTC)The first thing to say is that the decadent political classes of most western countries, for reasons that would take too long to go into here, are inherently incapable of facing up to a serious crisis in the same way that their predecessors fifty or a hundred years ago were. The situation is made worse by the general hollowing-out and de-skilling of government institutions (including medical ones) over the last thirty or forty years, and their consignment into the hands of people with MBAs who, like the political classes, think only of their public image. And both are conscious of the fact that our societies have not had to confront a crisis of any real importance since 1945, and the population is simply unprepared for bad things to happen.
Second, the virus is a precision weapon, laser-targeted at the assumptions, pretensions and lifestyle of the PMC. Taking it seriously as a problem would require them to accept that such things as globalisation, open borders, outsourcing, the seamlessly interconnected online world and the everlasting march of scientific and technical progress are, and always have been, illusions, not historical inevitabilities. Thus, the desire by whatever means to shove the genie back in the bottle again, so that life can Return to Normal and the PMC can go on ruining the world and its population.
So at all stages, the PMC response, faithfully reflected in its tame media, has flipped between obsessive denial and hysterical over-reaction. If you look back at the tame media coverage of the last eighteen months (which many media outlets have scrubbed, removed from YouTube etc) you’ll find the following absolutely classic example of dysfunctional political systems trying to grapple with something that’s too big for them. It went roughly:
Problem, what problem?
OK, it’s a problem but it’s only in China.
OK, it’s not only in China, but it’s not here, and don’t say it came from China or you’re a racist.
OK, it’s come here but it’s not a problem, it’s just like flu.
OK, it’s much worse than flu and it’s not seasonal, but it’ll all be over by April.
OK, it’s not all over by April, but it’ll be over by the autumn.
OMG OMG people are dying. Quick, scientists, do something, anything, just do something.
Ah, finally we’ve got these vaccines, they’re the answer to the problem. Take them and the pandemic will be over.
OK, did we say that the pandemic will be over? We were misquoted: the vaccines provide you with temporary protection but don’t kill the virus. Did we ever say they did? Well, we were misquoted.
Numbers are going down. Back to normal before the end of 2021.
OMG OMG it’s not going back to normal. People are starting to die again. Quick, more vaccines.
And so on and so on. Dysfunctional political systems confronted with problems too big for them to grasp, naturally turn to solutions like a drowning man grabbing a lifebelt. Few of the PMC have any real scientific knowledge, and they are all desperate for the world to get Back to Normal again. If governments had said, quite fairly « here are the vaccines. They are a partial solution, and if you are vaccinated you are less likely to suffer bad consequences but that’s all » then people would have accepted it. But the PMC, in panic mode and desperate to get Back to Normal, managed to give the impression that the vaccines were sterilising, when in fact they aren’t. So people feel betrayed, as the felt betrayed by the slow and reluctant recognition that the virus doesn’t spread by droplets but in aerosol form, so a lot of the ritual measures earlier demanded are in fact useless. (« Did we say the virus was spread by droplets? We were misquoted. ») The PMC will never, ever, admit it is wrong, thus the problem.
So I don’t see it getting better for a long time, if at all. The PMC will continue to gyrate between foolish complacency and outright panic, putting its faith in whatever high-tech solution is next proposed. Unfortunately, there’s nothing in the collective experience of how political systems work under pressure to suggest that behaviour will change soon.

Date: 2021-11-23 10:58 pm (UTC)You might be correct about the political classes in the Western world but I disagree completely with your interpretation of the last 2 years.
Where was the foolish complacency? Yes, the first couple of weeks in US the MSM "downplayed" the problem but after that they switched to panic and lying to an extreme degree.
I put downplayed in quotes because it's not really true - since 'rona has about the same mortality as the flu (just look at Africa, Sweden, China, Italy, Australia etc) there really was nothing to worry about.
Please don't let them frame the narrative - try to always remember that IF they would have done NOTHING, 2020 and 2021 would have been average years in terms of mortality.
I know this because in most countries there was no excess mortality - independent of their overreaction or "downplaying" of the crisis.
JMG, at the risk of sounding paranoid and offend some posters - is it possible that your blog has attracted some attention from the troll farms?
I keep seeing posters suggesting that "extremists on both side are bad", "foolish downplaying" etc.
This looks to me like an attempt to shift the discussion here halfway on the side of the official narrative - after all that would be "fair and balanced", right?

From:COVID-19: "stigmatising the unvaccinated is not justified" -- Günter Kampf
Date: 2021-11-23 08:55 pm (UTC)COVID-19: stigmatising the unvaccinated is not justified
Günter Kampf
University Medicine Greifswald, Institute for Hygiene and Environmental Medicine, 17475 Greifswald, Germany
"In the USA and Germany, high-level officials have used the term pandemic of the unvaccinated, suggesting that people who have been vaccinated are not relevant in the epidemiology of COVID-19. Officials’ use of this phrase might have encouraged one scientist to claim that 'the unvaccinated threaten the vaccinated for COVID-19'. But this view is far too simple.
"There is increasing evidence that vaccinated individuals continue to 1 have a relevant role in transmission."
.
.
.
"People who are vaccinated have a lower risk of severe disease but are still a relevant part of the pandemic. It is therefore wrong and dangerous to speak of a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Historically, both the USA and Germany have engendered negative experiences by stigmatising parts of the population for their skin colour or religion. I call on high-level officials and scientists to stop the inappropriate stigmatisation of unvaccinated people, who include our patients, colleagues, and other fellow citizens, and to put extra effort into bringing society together."
