What feels like many, many moons ago, but was probably about 2 months, I asked about what kind of non-human entity could be responsible for all this strangeness. You replied that you had rejected the angry god hypothesis and were leaning more towards demons. A few weeks later you said you no longer thought demons were responsible, but may be involved, due to their limited capacity to affect this plane.
Well... what about the Fair Folk? I have recently been reading a few books relating to them, as well as some accounts of UFOs, and the Mothman Prophecies by John Keel (I agree with both you and his assertions that UFOs are not extraterrestrial in origin), and there are some interesting parallels - one particular one that caught my attention in that book was 120 day cycles of paranormal activity, which closely mirrors the corona worldwide cases. Anyone who has bought into the narrative appears to be in a hypnotic trance as well, repeating the same sound bytes and non-sequiturs. Alien abductions frequently feature the taking of bodily samples such as blood and saliva, and the injection of unknown substances. Then there are the disturbing (and hopefully fake) videos of vixenated babies born with black eyes, rapid development and strange behaviour - as I say, hopefully fake, but the first thought in my mind was 'changeling'.
John Keel wrote his book in 1975 and references the use of the flicker effect and VLF radio waves to give post-hypnotic suggestions - imagine what would possible now on a mass scale through ubiquitous TV and the internet.
So what I'm asking here is - if demons couldn't do so, would the Fae have the firepower to be able to pull something like this off?
On a personal level, what would be a good protection against being affected?
