Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 5

The semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a huge number of comments, so I'm opening another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before: 

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 

3. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Biden announced new vaccine requirements today. No federal mandate but being pushed to the employers to require vaccination status if more than 100 employees. (Or negative testing once a week). Federal contractors as well, but this is loosely defined.

Paperwork details aside, basically what he did was officially vilify inoculated people. I don't think this mandates will increase the vaccination rate, this will increase anger and tension between the two stances of the situation. This requirements don't seem to me at all to even care about the situation but rather its focus seems to be to create strife. A very demonic approach to things...

I'm still wondering how they intend on actually enforcing this, even at the employer level. If you're already short-staffed, you may be in a position where the only people you have available to hire are unvaxxed, OSHA violation or not.

The thing is that at $14,000 dollars a violation, it would be easier for basically everyone to just stop service altogether than hire the unvaxxed. Assuming this survives in court, I'm willing to bet that a ton of places will just stop service altogether.

I've always maintained the growth opportunity in the 21st century would be the black market.

Businesses will adapt - they can outsource certain work if necessary. Businesses have always had to adapt to the inane policies of bureaucrats. We all have to learn to adapt and 'duck and dive'. I think businesses will be no different.

Here's how that goes in my head:

"You're hired! I notice we don't have your vax card on file...?"
"That's because I don't--"
"Oh, you lost it? Look, just get a 'replacement'(winkwink): call this guy, tell him Steve sent you, and if anyone asks later, I don't know anything."

If companies can hire illegal immigrants and have plausible deniability, surely it is also possible to fudge vaccine status.

It's also remarkably easy even now to just get in line, for people to put you on the list and then walk away with a band aid in your arm without getting quaxxed. I am under the impression that some careful and slithery people are invoking mercury to get away with it mostly unnoticed and not getting caught.

I was thinking, recently, that there *must* be people out there finding out who, in the vaccine tent, is willing to pocket a $50 bill in exchange for giving the paperwork without the shot.

I think what is going to happen is that even more people will go underground and thus moving once step further in rendering the governments ability to do something, useless. I note that was also part of JMGs hypothesis if it happens to be that we are somewhere between stage 9 and stage 10.

Targeting Unvaxxed

My wife watched Biden today. She is feeling overwhelmed. We've lost a family of friends up the street. Her cousin who was her best friend. Another friend that was strongly antivax submitted a few weeks ago and is now distanced herself from us. She was in tears this evening telling me she was praying for something to happen to Biden. I talked with her about Not inviting or imploring negative forces into action or association with her. That these things can stick to her and harm her. I've done a good job strengthening myself through this. I need to give her more attention and support. She can be stubborn and she's tough. Unbelievable speech by Biden. We will not give in. Life isn't supposed to be easy. Peace, Love, and Strength of Will and Attention to all.

Best wishes for you and your wife. I think a lot of us are in a similar tough spot.

When faced with the urge to wish ill on others, or particularly to pray for their downfall, I find it helps to remind myself that God's mercy takes many forms, not all of them immediately recognizable to us, and simply pray for God's mercy on all parties. Only He knows enough about it, to work things out for good. Mercy on our president, mercy on our country, mercy on us, Lord have mercy.

And the same to you and your wife! I think it is very important to remain as steady and confident as possible as "crunch time" moves forward while at the same time acknowledge and accept the feelings of frustration and hatred and trying to balance them. I would like to suggest to do some activity that brings some joy, even if for a little while, poetry, looking at art, reading a book, mediation and prayer. Being in the middle of these things is very unnerving. I've been trying to write a prayer for hope along those lines, though inspiration doesn't seem to be hitting right just yet.

I think a large fraction of the people left have had the same sense I did, that no matter what happens, it's best not to take the shots. I'm fully prepared to end up starving on the streets over this; and I'm willing to bet a lot of the others remaining unvaccinated are as well.

Short of going door to door and holding people down, I think we're near saturation, and that most of the remainder won't take it no matter what happens...

So, the government is now directing business policies in order to further its goals, and without worrying about the businesses' opinions on the topic. Isn't this classic fascism?

Yes, and I think it has been speculated before that a noticeable collapse here in the US would resemble the fall of the Soviet Union.

I just find it wryly amusing that the "antifascist" party just implemented classic fascism, and next to no one seems to be batting an eye...

The company I work for ran with this announcement without a second thought. They're announcing a new vaccine policy Monday and the preliminary email did not sound good for the unvaccinated, as I am. I'll know more Monday I guess, but this is making for a stressful weekend. I'm bringing the law of joy into mind as much as possible.

I hope all the best to you! I think this is a moment to bring about the true values instilled in the founding of the United States to bring union instead of strife. I love the country that has given me so much and that is one of the reasons why I'm going back into the U.S in a few weeks to help in whatever way I can. That said though, if things start to get too ugly I'm just going to say that I know a few expats waiting happily unvaccinated in my hometown in Mexico.

I think one thing to pay attention to is that he said he would 'direct' the Dept of Labor to come up with a rule for said employer mandates/testing, but no reported deadline or timeline. Not to say it is a bluff, but my hunch is it'll drag out.

I could be wrong, though.

I think you are right. It seems like a desperation move. Which could mean things are getting closer to serious.

Anyone know what's meant by "get them [the governors] out of the way"? Is he asserting he has authority to remove them?
