My first thought is that a chart for the time and date when the supernova first becomes visible would be the primary chart to follow, and as with all mundane charts, it would vary in its effects by location on Earth.
The beginning of the dimming might be worth examining, however. Do you happen to know the time and date when the dimming was first noticed?
