King in OrangeI'm pleased to announce that the audiobook version of my book The King in Orange: the Magical and Occult Roots of Political Power is now available for purchase. You can find it at the following links:

...and other audiobook sites should have it within a few days if they haven't gotten it yet.

I'm very pleased, and frankly rather startled, by the mostly positive response this book has fielded, even among those who might be expected to have less charitable views.  Here's another thoughtful positive review from a Neopagan site; the author thinks that I was too hard on Hillary Clinton, which is quite possibly true, but otherwise had very good things to say about the book.

Synchronicity! Somewhat... I was looking at the Simon and Schuster site to check out if I could download the book... Listening to your conversation with Miguel Conner right now...

I can't wait to get a copy of the audiobook. "The King in Orange" has been one of the most informative books that I've ever read, and it continues to have an impact as I incorporate its insights. This is true politically, spiritually, socially, magically, etc. I can see why so many have reacted so positively to it. I also hope that this positive reception is a good sign that the magic of the elites is finally failing to provide them even an ounce of cover for their abuses and neglect.

Thank you Mr Greer

What a relief to see that a good book can still bridge the gap between reasonable people, and there is such a thing in the new age social sciences side! Thank you for writing that book!

Congrats!

Awesome!!! Very Happy for you JMG. You are a tireless worker for a long time and your message is badly needed by many. After a long incubation period now seems to be your time. I pray this keeps up. DenG

I worked for Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016; and whenever I got through to her, things went great. She'd listen and take the necessary steps to address the problems. The issues occurred whenever I was unable to speak to her directly, because the people she trusted filtered things far too much. Which she was aware of and tried to address, but quite clearly not well enough.

So I think your critiques are fair of the Clinton Campaign, but they are not reflective of Hillary Clinton. A lot of those of us who worked in the campaign think Bill Clinton probably pulled a lot of the strings, and oh dear gods he is utterly delusional; but she trusts him way more than she really should....

Like most politicians, her public image is closely managed, and unfortunately for her the people managing it are totally out of touch with reality. My direct boss actually thought the "basket of deplorables" comment was a good one and encouraged the media to run with it; I can't believe how many people in the privileged classes thought it was a good phrase.

I think it is fair to say she is out of touch with the reality of American life, but in my experience she had more of an idea of what was really happening than most members of the political elite, and far, far more so than Bill Clinton. I worked in political campaigns for around 40 years and while there are some spectacular cases of people not knowing what's going on, I've never met anyone so clueless and out of touch with reality as him; but he pulls a lot of the strings where their public image is concerned.

Bill Clinton does seem like the kind of man who'd feel threatened by a powerful woman...

Thanks I really love audiobooks! If I was rich I would pay for production for the entire Weird of Hali set.

Same here, so it looks like a lot of people are interested. Maybe we should see about pooling our resources to make it happen?

Perhaps a crowd funding effort that appeals to those, like me, who like audio books? I know, just what you would need, another project. However, I hope there is someone out there (no my plate is very full at the moment) who would like to manage such a project. I know I would make a donation.

I'd absolutely contribute to that. Most of my fiction reading has to be done via audiobook these days, and I was equal parts enthralled by Innsmouth and heartbroken when you said it would probably be the only installation produced in that way. It was an excellent narration and I'd really like to be able to continue the story, if it's ever possible.

This is required reading/listening - if you want to have a better contextual understanding of the last 6 to 7 years (probably longer, though).

A lot of positive responses and a load of podcast appearances.
I am not American, so this is just political theater for me. Still your writing has been enlightening and has helped me develop my own thought processes.

I am very glad of your success and the positive way it has worked out.

Still I remember it years ago you wrote somewhere, or said it on a podcast, that you expect the book you were working on to be thrown across the room more often then any of your books to date.

„this might turn out to be my most aerodynamic book to date“

That comment stuck.

Look forward to hearing this one.
I was wondering if there will be any more Weird of Hali audio books? The first one was well done and I really enjoy listening to audio books on commutes. They keep me calmer than listening to music while driving. I think it is because I focus less on the insanity of other drivers and more on the story.
