Nice! Those are great examples.

Many years ago I found, at the downtown branch of the Seattle Public Library, a book on making your life more interesting by doing strange things for their own sake. I have long since forgotten the author and title, alas, but I remember one of the anecdotes. The author had a Sunset book, Earthquake Country, in his freezer. He'd wrapped it in wax paper and then in foil, taping everything up right to prevent freezer burn, and kept it frozen; he'd moved twice since doing so, and every time he'd made sure to keep the book from thawing out. It was by meditating on that and other examples, and applying them in my own life, that I became enlightened as to the use of deliberate absurdity as a means of will training. (Okay, the Surrealists also had something to do with it.) More on this as we proceed!
