One reason is the mRNA therapies are not vaccines as per the long term accepted definition (which was 'updated' to include any immune therapies).
Re-defining the word vaccine to include genetic therapies was a marketing trick to dramatically increase uptake - not many people would have been fooled if honest language was used. Thus going along with the re-marketing is concealing (and conceding) an unhelpful truth about what is going on.
