I don't know that anyone's gone back to find the Chaldean and Persian astrological records from that conjunction! The Weird of Hali reference is apropos, since Shub-Ne'hurrath is Saturn in one of its aspects, and Cthulhu is as Neptunian a Neptune as ever Neptuned...
