Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 179

We are now in the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary more than three years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:
1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.
5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
6. Please don't just post bare links without explanation. A sentence or two telling readers what's on the other side of the link is a reasonable courtesy, and if you don't include it, your attempted post will be deleted.
Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.
With that said, the floor is open for discussion.
Aus lockdowns

It shows the extreme lengths the government was willing to go to in order to impose the vaccines onto the public. From July 2021, the two largest states in Australia (NSW and Vic - at least 60% of the Aus population) both went into lockdown. The governments of both states made it very clear that these lockdowns were indefinite and wouldn't be lifted until 70-80% of the population had been vaccinated. In other words, the people of both states were effectively held hostage until enough people took the vaccines.
Vic was full on totalitarian from 2020, but up until July 2021 NSW had the reputation of being a bit more restrained in their lockdowns. But when it came time to impose the vaccines onto the public in mid 2021, NSW became every bit as totalitarian as Vic - a fact I find very significant. Both states used some extreme police state tactics to shut down the anti-lockdown protests. Something which NSW was more successful at, so they never had to use the type of violence that Vic did, which included randomly firing tear gas into the crowd and shooting people with rubber bullets at a protest in Aug 2021, and then carrying out a full on counter-terrorism assault against the protesters in Sept 2021.
There were many "tells" that governments didn't really believe there was a deadly virus in circulation, including the fact that politicians and officials regularly broke their own rules, that the rich and celebrities were able to move around the world as they pleased, and that so many of the "public health" measures were ridiculous theatre.
In Australia, maybe the biggest tell of them all was hotel quarantine. This was where people returning to Aus from overseas were confined to hotel rooms for two weeks to make sure they had cleared the virus. So there is a very deadly, very contagious virus going around that justifies borders being closed, but then potentially infected people are being put into *hotel rooms* in the CBD areas of major cities with populations of 5 million people. Is it just me, or does this idea sound completely ridiculous?
In a country where the borders have been closed and the virus kept out, hotel quarantine only makes sense as a device to justify lockdowns, where the government can fake an escape of the virus into the community from the hotel whenever they want to do a lockdown. Looking at it this way, the lockdowns in Vic and NSW in late 2021 were always going to happen. These lockdowns were needed to terrorise the population into taking the vaccines.
Many people (even on our side) still think that the lockdowns and vaccine mandates were just something that happened by accident, but it's clear from the above that covid was something very sinister and very purposeful. It's obvious that it was the intent right from the start to force these vaccines onto as many people as possible. There was a real desperation about it as well, even though it was obvious by mid 2021 that there wasn't a deadly virus going around. When you think about it, both the lockdowns and subsequent forced vaccinations were acts of desperation. What would justify such desperate acts? Whatever covid was really about, it wasn't about a virus.

Remember the way 5G was suddenly implemented without public consultation and potential protest cut off at the roots when people could no longer associate freely?
And how formerly "essential" workers were reclassified as "approved". Almost as though a right to free movement in some segments of the population had to be removed.

I think, or perhaps I hope, that TPTB really overplayed their hand with this thing. A lot of people are asking questions who previously would not have. Not everybody, but a lot more people (including me).
