Not in Western astrological magic -- the standard approach there is to rely on the well-dignified planets in your chart. In Vedic astrology, however, planetary charity -- making offerings to the intelligences of the planets via charity -- is a common practice, and I know of a fair number of Western astrological mages who have had good results with it.
