I confess about half of my dog's diet is industrial, but the other half is cheap cooked meat and whatever leftovers we have. We're lucky that our local supermarket gives away meat for dogs sometimes.
Garlic and dogs; I've found garlic to be the difference between my dog having ticks and worms, and having no ticks and worms. Conventional wisdom says garlic is bad for dogs, because the corporations paid for studies where they deliberately poisoned dogs by massively overdosing them (just as with HCQ during covid). At a clove per 20kg of dog, it's very good for them, I'd look into the subject, Tamar, as it might be part of what helps your doggo. Clay is worth looking into, too; geophagy can help deal with poisons like roundup. I give my dog (and myself!) montmorillonite once in a while.
Hope your dog gets better. "May you be the person your dog thinks you are."
