It used to be said that the people who don't get vaccinated are basically freeloaders. I.e. they benefit from the herd immunity provided by all the good people who got their shots. Now, whether that's true or not is an argument for another day... but it seems to have morphed into this idea that the unvaccinated are somehow endangering the vaccinated. Because your shot only works if I get my shot, too? The whole notion that the unvaccinated are a danger to others (not just themselves) denies the efficacy of vaccines.
