Fixation is dwelling on the state that exists as you haven’t detached from the existing . That perpetuates what exists. Focus is different than fixation. Focus is recognition of what you want, applied as will. The will is a state of recognition. It feels similarly to a moment when you suddenly grasp a math equation. This works as one and done.
Ritual is a different approach: you assign what you will to an egregore ( substitute) then manipulate that egregore
