My son's physics lab partner passed away during football practice this year. Bryce Stanfield died of a saddle pulmonary embolism. He was young and fit and at the top of his game.
Furman University had a horrible Covid 19 vaccination policy and this young man was just the right age to be tangled up in the mandates. I don't know his vaccination status, but I do know it is a terrible loss. The entire campus was devastated by his passing. The visitation with his parents was scheduled for an hour and it lasted for five hours. The entire school showed up to pay their respects to his parents and share stories.
Fortunately, this school also has a good exemption policy. I struggle with the ethics of my son being at this school, but he is well versed at avoiding western medical interventions.
