I decided to reread Iron John by Robert Bly. Last read it in 1991. Page 158: 'Observers have noticed for centuries that when the effort for change heats up the psyche, the heat itself attracts demons, or sleeping complexes, or bitter enemies of the spirit - trouble of some sort... ' He goes on about change inviting trouble.
I don't know how that might relate to 'this' situation we're in. Not sure what sort of worldwide change (for the better) the human spirit endeavored to put into play that would attract demons.
Maybe this is something else entirely. Honestly I wouldn't know.
