1) Interesting. Was it that the divinations were wrong, or was it that your interpretations were wrong? When I've had things like that happen it was always the latter.
2) Any strong emotion will mess with your divinatory abilities. That's why it's often best to get a reading from somebody else when the subject is one about which you have personal feelings. As for integrating it, usually that's an issue because of unresolved childhood experiences; the Order of Spiritual Alchemy work (available here: https://octagonsociety.org/preliminary-lessons/ ) is one good way to deal with those.
