Long ago, on a lark, I investigated a dating site that seemed aimed at a particular 'tribal' ethnicity....and the participants seemed quite professionally oriented. For a lark, and because the internet was new to me and I wondered what it was all about, plus I was probably getting some cheap thrill out of all of it, I checked the opposite sex profiles. They had a numerical code where the personal information should be.
A line of numbers. No marks or punctuation. Just numbers. I thought 'What have I stumbled upon?'
I think now we will be able to be presented with video and voice of the profile and it could be utterly a deep fake. Not sure how that would benefit anybody unless you were roping somebody in to get access to their cash in some 'catfishing' operation.
