Not at all. Once the soul has detached itself from the material body -- a process that normally takes about three days -- what happens to the material body has very little effect on it. If you pump the body full of poisonous chemicals such as formaldehyde before the soul has finished detaching from it, the death of those cells that are still living breaks the connection with the soul very suddenly; that's a jolt to the soul, but it's not significantly different from what happens when somebody dies in an explosion or some other very sudden means of death.
