One of the things that's been coming out of my other spiritual work is the recognition that I have treated "negative" emotions like sadness, fear, anger, and so forth as problems to be avoided or solved, and that maybe that's not the best approach.
I very much doubt the teachings here are saying "shove your anger/sadness down and don't speak of it" when it says "happiness is removing sadness" or "peace is removing anger". It strikes me that maybe the operative part of those steps is "practicing forgiveness".
Other than "reflect, meditate, and journal" and/or "Go do the OSA work", any thoughts on how to put the Essene teachings into practice while healthily dealing with anger/sadness/fear?
