Thank you for this link. QR codes are something you have to have a so-called "smartphone" in order to use. So I guess those of us in Japan without smartphones can go weewee out back of the store? Arthur Firstenberg has just set up a pledge for people not wanting to take part in this outrage: https://cellphonetaskforce.org/no-cell-phone-campaign-launched-worldwide/ I recommend it as a place to start, but you might have other good ideas for resisting this.
