Same with my 4th gen kindle - battery still lasts for days after many years of use and the unlit e-ink screen is so much nicer than LED. The only trouble is that PDFs that are simple scans of book pages are often unreadable (too much zooming in and out). You can pick them up on eBay for about $30.
