Toward Ecosophy

Depends on which version of occult Christian theology you favor! Dion Fortune and George Winslow Plummer, the two Christian occultists I've studied most closely, both held that Jesus was distinct from, but functioned as a vehicle for, the Christ, a divine principle which descended on him at the baptism in the Jordan and departed from him when he "gave up the ghost" during the Crucifixion. I think pretty much everyone in that scene agrees that he knew that crucifixion was on the schedule, and accepted it willingly.
