Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 6

support groupThe semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a gargantuan (and increasing) number of comments, so I'm opening another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Compared to the US, British Columbia (Canada) does not have a lot of COVID cases or deaths, but the local reporting is that the number of cases we do have is stressing the hospital system to the point at which people can die waiting for care in the Emergency Room. Here's a report of such a death from the large hospital nearest to me;

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/70-year-old-patient-in-kamloops-emergency-room-1.6169654

This woman waited to be seen for 6 hours in the ER. She died in front of family members there in the waiting room. It turned out she had critically low potassium levels, easily fixed with an IV bag, but the hospital lab couldn't get the labs done because the workload is very high.

Conditions like these indicate to me that there is an actual health crisis going on. Whether it can be fixed by more COVID vaccines is another question...

I work in a hospital, and can tell you what the problem is : vaccine mandates. A large portion of the hospital staff doesn't want to take the shots, and so a good many of them quit. Thankfully, I work IT and here am exempt (only doctors and nurses must take it), but yeah, I'm seeing first hand what happens when a large portion of your nursing and doctors quit, and it is not pretty....

Hello all,
Thanks for hosting this.
I am happy that this place excists and that the possibility for this kind of discussion is open.
However, i wonder about one thing.
Many people took the vax out of "good" intentions. Eg: stopping the spread of the virus, stopping new mutations, taking pressure of the hospitals. These might not be good reasons but it is the official line and it is what most people thusly believe. This is also my personal experience with the vaxed vs the unvaxed.
So I think the idea of the vaxed having bad karma is a bit overblown. In fact, if people really believe the official narrative then it might cause good karma even.

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
This depends on whether wilful ignorance or unplaced trust counts as good or bad karma, probably neither? I'm not sure the narrative that most people took it out of good intentions is entirely true either. I'm sure many took it because they were very scared due to the constant fear mongering. One thing is clear, the people doing the fear mongering and the ones doing the injecting are probably setting themselves up for a bad ride.

Hospital

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
I know a man on the local hospital board. He’s a businessman, not a doctor. He told me for every COVID death, the hospital gets paid $115,000. The hospital is using this money to pay for its unpaid Medicare bills. And he’s not getting the jab.

Re: Hospital

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Who is paying, for what reason, and how are they classifying this income? Not doubting, just seems like a crazy amount of money and I'm curious how it's justified.

Would it be ironic if mandates actually protect the Unvax against getting covid from the vaccinated ?

Extremely ironic, and not improbable if I understand our situation correctly. It satisfies my sense of schadenfreude imagining all the vaccinated folks in places the unvaxxed can't go, smug in their sense of superiority and yet infecting and re-infecting one another over and over.

corporate mandates

[personal profile] frittermywig 2021-09-15 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
The response to Mrs. Mywig's request for a religious exemption from her firm's vaccination mandate: HR wants her to prove the validity of her convictions by providing a letter from our minister that enumerates the relevant church tenets. As we were debating whether to submit to this further humiliation we learned that our (Anglican) bishop has mandated the jab for all staff and volunteers in our diocese. Ouch. That's not going to help our case! We may just declare that we don't need a 'grown-up' to approve our sincerely held beliefs, and let the chips fall...

There is the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which will send an ID card. And those Rosicrucians, mentioned elsewhere on this blog. But why not start your own church? Declare yourself shaman-minister-Pope-in-chief? Shamipoinchi for short. Actually, I am not kidding.

What weird times we live in, indeed, weirder by the minute.

I have a question for those with the relevant expertise. The outcome I'm worried about most is for the vaccines to cause the virus to become deadlier, like what happened with Marek's disease, leading to humans becoming dependent on the vaccines — a dependency we can't afford given that industrial civilization will not survive indefinitely.

However, the virus now has several animal reservoirs (20 species at last count, I think).

Do the animal reservoirs provide a kind of bulwark against the Marek's disease outcome, by giving the virus a large unvaccinated population to provide selective pressure against lethality, or does the difference in how the virus already affect animals vs. how it affects humans render that useless?

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know the answer but that is a really excellent question. Hoping maybe Mark L can help us out....

Data Point from within the PMC

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I am on a (anonymous) discussion forum for people in the same career as me. It's totally PMC dominated (myself included), but unusually it is *not* an echo chamber about COVID.

There's almost equal contingents who are very pro-vax and pro-mandates and pro-lockdowns and the opposing contingent (myself included) who are much more in line with the average opinion in these discussions (although you won't find the level of medical detail in the discussion here or discussion of any occult/demonic causes).

There have been ongoing discussions over the last 1.5 years and everyone's positions have hardened.

I just want to report that there is absolutely no softening in the pro-lockdown crowd's views, and on the contrary they think the vaccines are amazing and have done their job and it's perfectly understandable that the efficacy is dropping and there's nothing wrong with having a booster every 6 months, and that (in all seriousness) they think there should be higher taxes on the unvaccinated to fund the (presumed) extra medical care we require and I was taken to task for being selfish and not caring about my fellow humans for not being vaccinated. They are strongly supportive of vaccine mandates and vaccine passports and feel any new restrictions are entirely the fault of the unvaccinated.

(Not from my group but Nassim Taleb of all people - who wrote so well about unforeseen consequences and the importance of skin in the game and black swans - has become a real COVID zealot - he is in support of higher taxes/costs for the unvaccinated and when someone pointed out the smoking example, he literally posted on Twitter that "Anti-vaxxers can choose to get the vaccine, but smokers' condition is not in their control" - quite a few tweets replying to him were along the lines of "did you seriously just write that?" - he also picked a fight with Edward Snowden and called him a fraud on Twitter, which is just bizarre, because whether you approve or disapprove of Snowden, he is by definition someone who has skin in the game and literally threw away his life and risked a lifetime of jail - and got a lifetime of exile - for his principles, which is what Taleb is all about - skin in the game).

Basically every PMC cliche is alive and well and the conviction of those that believe in it is completely unshaken (the best you can hope for is that they will fall silent which sometimes happens when things like Fauci's mask flip flopping is pointed out). But I'd get laughed at if I said anything about ADE - they are completely convinced that the vaccines work etc. Long way to go before people like that change their minds.

One of the people I've been most disappointed in during the vaccine phase of Covid is Taleb. The other is Claire Lehman. Both feel that the means justify the ends in terms of 100% vaccination rate. In Taleb's case he was outspoken about GMO's for years because of the unknown 2nd and 3rd order effects, but for vaccines he just blocks everyone who brings it up.

The Changer archetype

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thought of this in regards to The Changer archetype.

'The Pharmaceutical companies held out on publishing the results of the vaccine trials till the day after the Vote. The Changer took their mouths and put lies in them, and lies are all they could speak and the pharmaceutical companies could never be trusted again. When dangers arise from their drugs, they can no longer speak truth to stop their use.'

'The Magical Resistance called on demons to stop the Changer so Demons they would become, hating and despising their fellow man till their last breaths. Lies, confusion, and hatred will fill their minds as it fills the minds of the demons themselves'

Some further cracks appearing: the rapper Nicki Minaj is being criticized for Tweeting about being hesitant about the Covid vaccines. From the Guardian:
https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/sep/15/nicki-minaj-rarely-a-dull-moment-for-the-outspoken-rapper

"This week there was outrage after the 38-year-old rapper confirmed she wouldn’t attend the Met Gala, an event where her appearance alone generates headlines, because of the organisers’ insistence on attenders being vaccinated against Covid-19. Minaj tweeted to her 22 million followers that her Trinidadian cousin’s friend had become impotent after being vaccinated and she was reluctant to take it until they have “done enough research”."

I think the crack in the narrative is widening.

My mom was vaccinated but, thankfully, never pressured me about it and I tried to keep silent about any concerns related to ADE, instead emphasizing that vaccines may not be necessary for everyone--especially young, healthy people under 50. Yesterday my mom mentioned that she finds the whole booster thing ridiculous and that she's not going to get a booster shot. Then this morning, she messaged asking if I knew the right doses for Vitamin C, D, and zinc for prevention. And this afternoon she sent me a blog post from someone she follows on Instagram (crafts, interior design) with a personal story about the loss of a family member, covering many of issues we discuss here. My mom was shocked and is now absolutely livid. It was like watching the blindfold falling from her eyes in real time.

I am seeing this play out again and again on social media and among family and friends. It hasn't reached the PMC crowd yet, from what I can tell, but among the already vaccinated in red states and small towns, the tide seems to be turning.

(Anonymous) 2021-09-16 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Never underestimate the ability of the PMC to live in a complete and total fantasy-world.

Social Commentary

(Anonymous) 2021-09-15 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I had an entertaining experience a few days ago. I was at Rural King, which is a feed and farm store in my area. My county is under (another) mask mandate, and most of the businesses in town have copious signage at their entrances regarding that. At Rural King, the signage was a small printed sheet of paper next to the interior entry that said "Masks required by government regulation". Not surprisingly, there were very few masks being worn in the store.

When I checked out, the cashier was wearing a purple elastic around her head, with a lovely square of lace hanging strategically down over her nose and mouth. I nearly busted a gut laughing. It's great to see such subversive humor!

The website minimallycompliantmasks.com seems to be doing brisk business. Their standard model is on backorder most of the time.

I got a "fishnet" mask for those occasions when I absolutely have to wear one. So far, nobody has said a word about it. If somebody does, I'll either just say "it works as well as yours" or tell them that it kills viruses with activated platinum or some other high-tech mumbo jumbo.

I took a trip to Washington State last month. Airplanes and such places where masks were "required" definitely had an unspoken vibe of "we have to say this, but we don't actually care."

I was bedridden for two weeks at the end of January 2020. Just thought that I had the flu and treated it as such. After recovering enough to get up and try to get back to normal life, I found that the virus (or rather my immune systems reaction to it) had severely reduced my lung function, caused "brain fog", headache, and numerous transient aches and pains. I am now mostly recovered from most of the problems. Luckily for me, I stayed away from the hospital or I would be just another statistic.

I stumbled across Julius Ruechel's blog the other day and he brings up a lot of interesting ideas about the virus and the "vaccines". It is quite a long read since it covers a lot of background about viruses and the immune system.

https://www.juliusruechel.com/2021/09/the-snake-oil-salesmen-and-covid-zero.html

Be well.
Mike

Thanks Mike!

(Anonymous) 2021-09-16 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I really appreciate you posting this link. I've read Julius' post twice now and am about to read it for a third time. He articulates things very well that I've been thinking from the beginning of this thing, but haven't been able to articulate as clearly or with as many references. It's very well done and very much worth the time spent reading it.

My personal strategy, since I had covid in December, has been to expose myself to it as frequently as possible with less than the institutionally required level of protection, so that I can be exposed repeatedly to the current and emerging variants and keep my immunity up. So far that seems to be working. I have a fully vaccinated coworker without prior covid infection who got covid within a couple of months of being vaccinated and another coworker that had covid, got fully vaccinated and then got covid again. I haven't gotten it again. I think that if you have a healthy immune system, that's probably going to be a better approach for most people. This thing is never going away. It's now endemic.

My next door neighbor got the first dose of the Pfizer gene therapy three weeks ago and now has Bells Palsy effecting the right side of his face. He is having to tape his eye closed to sleep.
Another neighbor about three houses down started having severe anaphylactic reactions to certain foods as well as neurological pain after her exposure to one of the mRNA vaccines. Another neighbor dropped dead in his front yard in July he was in his mid 40s, fully vaccinated with three young children.
I literally do not know any one who has died from covid, though I know of probably fifty people who have tested positive...whatever that means

Re: Pray for my Neighbor

(Anonymous) 2021-09-16 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Given how difficult it is to assess the national or global situation (due to deliberately manipulated or obfuscated statistics), I think that personal experience is an important guide. It is informative to ask people how many people they know personally who have been sick or died from covid, and similarly what their experience with the vaccines has been.

Ice Cream

[personal profile] realmscryer 2021-09-15 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Just back from the grocery store with a short story to share.

When I was in the checkout line I handed back a pint of ice cream telling the checker I changed my mind. I initially wanted to buy the ice cream as I was feeling a bit low about the fever the world is running these days and how it may impact my loved ones. Normally I don't make food purchases to sooth emotions so I thought handing back the pint would be a good exercise in developing my will.

Anyway, as she is ringing up the rest of my groceries she pointed out I could to pick up another package of chicken breasts as they were Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Not one to pass up such a deal I went back to get my free chicken, picked up my groceries, and thanked the young ladies for their help.

After getting home while unpacking my groceries what do I see but the ice cream! There was no charge on the receipt either.

I take this as a message from the Universe. Everything will be okay, enjoy your ice cream. Which I am.

Nice! I got a bag of onions for a dollar because the cashier didn't want to have to look up the price (tag was missing) and the total came to $33.33 and she started gushing about how that was a lucky number so I'd have a great day.

I had an average day, but maybe these days it's all relative 😉

My work is paying everyone 250.00 to those vaxxed as an incentive and a raffle for 2000.00.

Although testing is an option, if osha requires the nasal sodomy, I'll quit my job.

I can't help but notice that there are 338 comments here: the same number as seats in the Canadian House of Commons. This is telling me to pay closer attention to that election than I had been...

At some point it was 78 as the number of arcana in the Tarot, which told me I should be doing more Tarot.

Mr. Greer,

Sorry if these links have been posted before but there are a lot of posts and it's a bit hard to search them all. Anyway here are a couple of links that may have relevance to your hypothesis:

https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/the-most-damning-article-about-vaccines

https://humansarefree.com/2021/09/explosive-public-health-data-80-of-covid-19-deaths-in-august-were-vaccinated-people.html

Berenson's substack is a very good resource to look at it you haven't already.

I work for the US Forest Service. I was talking with a co-worker today. We were wondering if they are actually going to fire us soon for not getting the shot. He's not interested in getting the shot because he had Covid two months ago. He's like, "This is crazy. Not only do I have better immunity than any of the vaccinated, I have antibodies! I could donate my blood to help someone suffering from the disease! And they want to fire me because I'm dangerous to be around or something?"

He works out on one of the Ranger Districts. He said from what he is seeing out there, if they fire the un-vaxed, we're going to lose all our Law Enforcement and a great deal of Fire Fighters.

That's interesting because I am repeatedly receiving ads on social media stating that the Forest Service is hiring and in desperate need of workers. "Paychecks starting at over $1,000."
