Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 174

raking in the lootWe are now in the fourth year of these open posts. When I first posted a tentative hypothesis on the course of the Covid phenomenon, I had no idea that discussion on the subject would still be necessary more than three years later, much less that it would turn into so lively, complex, and troubling a conversation. Still, here we are. Crude death rates and other measures of collapsing public health are anomalously high in many countries, but nobody in authority wants to talk about the inadequately tested experimental Covid injections that are the most likely cause; public health authorities government shills for the pharmaceutical industry are still trying to push through laws that will allow them to force vaccinations on anyone they want; public trust in science is collapsing; and the story continues to unfold.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry and its government enablers are causing injury and death on a massive scale. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its wholly owned politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you plan on making off topic comments, please go away. This is an open post for discussion of the Covid epidemic, the vaccines, drugs, policies, and other measures that supposedly treat it, and other topics directly relevant to those things. It is not a place for general discussion of unrelated topics. Nor is it a place to ask for medical advice; giving such advice, unless you're a licensed health care provider, legally counts as practicing medicine without a license and is a crime in the US. Don't even go there.

5. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

Please also note that nothing posted here should be construed as medical advice, which neither I nor the commentariat (excepting those who are licensed medical providers) are qualified to give. Please take your medical questions to the licensed professional provider of your choice.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2024/12/jay-bhattacharya-trumps-pick-to-head-the-nih-is-a-eugenicist-charlatan.html

This is precious from our supercilious friends at nakedcapitalism. Lambert, the sidekick of the blog host, is a complete hack, who supported everything from masks to forced vaccination and still wants people to wear N95 masks. (why not N100 plastic bags over head? :) ).

Interestingly, in the comment section, he got politely slapped by biochem professor KLG but was too dull to realize it. KLG wrote -

"But something left out of most of the commentary regarding SARS-CoV-2 is that scientists have known (or should have known) that durable immunity to coronaviruses has been elusive for more than 70 years, since the first avian bronchitis virus was described. ABV is a coronavirus and from what I have been able to learn (others certainly know a lot more than I do) the poultry industry (sic) has yet to develop an effective vaccine for it. There is no good reason to expect something different for a human coronavirus."

Basically KLG told Lambert that his article was based on a false premise that vaxxes would work.

The House COVID Committee has released its final report after a 2-year investigation.

MAJOR FINDINGS:
- The NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.
- The Constitution can't be suspended in times of crisis.
- COVID emerging from a lab leak is "not a conspiracy theory."
- EcoHealth and Dr. Peter Daszak should "never again" receive taxpayer funds.
- Public health officials have lost the trust of the people.
- Trump's Operation Warp Speed was a success.
- The COVID response was "rampant" with fraud, waste and abuse.
- "The prescription cannot be worse than the disease," lockdowns had horrific consequences.

Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. iridescent scintillating elver - following up about sauerkraut from last thread. I just made my first sauerkraut too so I’ll find out how it went soon. As to your question, I’m not sure, I just followed the recipe. Perhaps others have advice as to what to do if not enough liquid. The recipe i have says mix one cabbage, 1 tbs caraway seeds , 1 tablespoon sea salt, 4 tbs whey or add additional 1 tbs salt, pound until juices come the surface. Mix and put into quart sized mason jar and pound until juices come to the top. I didn’t need to add extra liquid. Best of luck with your experimenting!

The house oversight committee just released it's final Covid Report. While I haven't read the full thing, you'll find that the summary showcases many of the same opinions as this forum.

Official NZ royal commission admits failure of the mandates, and the huge debt levels incurred by covid.
https://www.covid19lessons.royalcommission.nz/

It also states that those opposed to the vaccine had valid and entirely reasonable points, and never should have been treated the way they were.

That's just the first phase, the second phase, run by different commissioners is supposed to look into the medical components in much greater detail.

Incidentally, this current royal commission was set up by the outgoing government, and has heavily criticised them. The second round is setup by the new government.

It's interesting how something of normal service over it all, with even official inquiries able to look into it

What? I didn't even know companies could legally drop money into congressmen... I am sure there might be reasons for that, but it seems plain corruption to me...

Letting go, moving on

(Anonymous) 2024-12-03 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been thinking recently about the idea of emotions needing to flow, to be released rather than bottled up.

For the last couple of years, up until recently, I was working full-time at a physically demanding job. I liked that it kept me busy and tired me out too much to feel all the feelings about the pandemic that seemed too huge to handle. That worked for a time, but then the feelings started just popping up in the middle of the night when I was trying to sleep. And then I became physically and emotionally ill from lack of sleep and from carrying that emotional burden around, so much so that it became necessary to quit my job and take some time to just rest and reorient.

I started reading David R. Hawkins' book 'Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender'. He says the solution is deceptively simple: when you feel an unpleasant emotion, relax, feel it fully, let it flow through you and out of you. Resisting it only makes it stronger.

This post by Midwestern Doctor advocates much the same attitude:
https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/emotional-health-in-the-age-of-disconnection

And this fits well with the approach used in the Octagon Society exercises promoted by our host.

Has anyone else benefited from these writings, or from this general approach to emotions? I just wanted to share what is starting to make sense to me, and to hear of others' successes.

I'm probably the 20th commenter to post this, but just in case, copied from the end of the previous thread:

Issued December 4 (tomorrow?!), the Final Report of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Committee on Oversight and Accountability, U.S. House of Representatives.

"During a time of intense partisanship, the Select Subcommittee had bipartisan consensus across multiple topics.

1) The possibility that COVID-19 emerged because of a laboratory or research related accident is not a conspiracy theory.

2) EcoHealth Alliance, Inc. and Dr. Peter Daszak should never again receive U.S. taxpayer dollars.

3) Scientific messaging must be clear and concise, backed by evidentiary support, and come from trusted messengers, such as frontline doctors treating patients.

4) Public health officials must work to regain America's trust; Americans want to be educated, not indoctrinated..."

I always thought ol' Joe had a better eye for the $ than a measly $270K a year from Pharma.

He'd be pulling at least 10x that out of Ukraine.

I've always thought it would be a good idea to require politicians appearing at public functions to display their sponsors' logos on their clothing, like footballers. It would allow people to keep their likely priorities in full view, when listening to the words they pronounce.

Actually small correction - mix cabbage, caraway, salt and whey (or more salt) in bowl and pound for 10 minutes, then put into quart sized mason jar and pound until juices come to the surface.

Hi Dylan,
Yes, I very much have benefited from this approach of making contact with emotions, seeing what their message is, feeling them and then moving on. I have also had to take time off as a result of a backlog of unprocessed emotions. You might also like "The Body Keeps The Score" by Bessel van der Kolk and "The Body Bears the Burden" by Robert Scaer.

Forced vaccination is a form of violence. State-sanctioned violences were reserved for extreme situations, but if it is made common, I wonder whether the public mood also get more violent as a reaction.

So many ways to make pickle - the recipe I followed was different to yours - maybe harder to get it wrong than one thought? The author of my recipe was a stickler for specific quantities (0.4oz ginger, 0.2oz garlic, what the deuce... !!!) and kept warning not to use too much salt... which was way less than in your recipe anyway. Still, with kimchi the salt is rinsed out before fermentation so maybe garlic and ginger assist that aspect of the process.

In the end I doubled the salt in the extra brine, to make 2% saline - still not strong but it was to top up the jars after the already salted cabbage didn't release enough liquid so hopefully will be enough to stop the wrong kind of microbes growing.
