Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 79

They LiedAs we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselessness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

And dear gods, given the demonic dance, the fact CBS tweeted "We are ready to worship" seems very disturbing....

The push to jab the military always made me wonder what was happening. I've long wondered if this wasn't an intentional effort to purge the military of the "undesirables", to ensure only True Believers remained. Once you start down that road though things can get very ugly, very, very fast...

Speaking of "odd relics that persist" -

What is it with veterinarians? At least in the blue states on the East coast of the US?

ALL the vets offices in my area are STILL requiring masks for staff an visitors, and only one visitor is permitted in with the pet, and you have to REQUEST an in-person appointment, the default still being "curbside appointments" where the masked tech comes and gets your pet, takes it in for an exam, and then the vet calls your cell phone. And, the one vet I know personally, from my college days (who was/is a self-described atheist) became one of the most devout Covidians I know - she was eagerly masking and forcing her poor kids to mask when it wasn't even required, and I assume she still is. She's middle-aged and very healthy but has been first in line for every jab, even using her status as an "essential worker" (because vet offices remained open) to jump near the head of the cootie-jab line early in 2021.

I don't get it, I really don't.

I second the thought.

You could do a lot worse than USPS, at least for the time being. A USPS job has the advantage of being somewhat portable. If yo ever do decide to escape NY, you could probably find another USPS position in your destination fairly easily.

Yeah my first look at the whole thing may have been too dismissive. My contempt for the pop occult garbage they keep churning out may be blinding me to the bigger picture. Ready to worship and sponsored by Pfizer is pretty on the nose I guess.

My mother has been waiting for a part for their dishwasher for several months. They have been thru 3 replacement parts in that time. She is stubborn, so she is waiting for guarantee to be honored. I suggested she just buy new one. Not a long term solution as it will probably only be good for 2 years.

They also had a long wait getting a door replaced (from kitchen to back porch, so technically an outside door). It finally got installed but there is some weird threshold that they are sure they will trip on. Installers said it was new regulations. They called county inspector out to check it and the inspector was appalled at what she saw. SO another case of no resolution.

Similar story here, only it was my father-in-law, who scoffed at all things irrational or superstitious and who was a very smart and well-read man who touted the achievements of "science" quite often. Cantankerous as he was, he was the only member of my wife's family I could talk to reasonably easily (though perhaps our mutual love of bourbon assisted with that.)

The last real conversation I remember having with him was at a holiday gathering, when he asked me if I was jabbed. When I told him no, he began to “educate” me about how effective the jabs were at protecting people. I didn't bother to argue, I just nodded, took another sip of bourbon, and tried to change the subject politely ASAP.

The man smoked for most of his life and loved his whiskey, but never seemed to suffer any great health problems till 2021 or so. Among other things, he then started to suffer from a rapidly progressing dementia, which he recognized early on. He stopped eating rather than prolong his decline and he died in the spring of last year.

He once gave me a copy of “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman. It strikes me that what we’re discussing here is an example of that book’s “System 1” and “System 2” thinking. The former is fast, quick, intuitive, heuristic-- how most people get by most of the time. The latter is logical, rational, deliberative, and takes more mental energy. Even the brightest, most scientific people are not immune to those mental shortcuts, and trusted authorities can become a shortcut to avoid hard thinking.

I miss him, and wish he were still around to discuss the record of the shots given new data. He probably would have been open to it. (Grudgingly!)

My opinion is that the virus that caused covid-19 was a real "novel" virus, but that the danger was grossly exaggerated.

I had covid - I came up positive on home tests, and my husband, who had the same thing, came up positive on a clinic test as well, when he went to get antibiotics for a secondary sinus infection.

I'm pretty sure that what I had was a new illness, in the sense that it WAS slightly different from similar cold/flu viruses I've had in the past. The tell-tale thing for me was that, in additional to "normal" cold/flu symptoms like fatigue, dry cough, congestion, low-grade fever, and did I mention the fatigue, I had a complete loss of taste and smell. With other viruses, my taste and smell might have been affected and dulled a bit, but covid gave me a complete loss of both senses - as in, the only way to tell hot tea from cold orange juice was the temperature, because I literally could not taste or smell ANYTHING AT ALL for about a week, and it took another two weeks to come back. That's never happened to me before in over half a century of this incarnation, hence my feeling that it was a new strain of bug.

My opinion is that covid was "real", but had the novel virus hit a few decades ago, it would have been treated as just a bad strain of cold/flu virus, with some click-bait news articles about this year's cold/flu strain being extra-dangerous to old and sick people, and some news coverage of the "bad flu season", reports on nursing home deaths being above average, public-service reminders to stay home when sick and wash your hands, etc. And people sharing stories of the rough cold or flu they had, spent days on the couch, couldn't taste a thing for two weeks, my poor gran wound up in hospital for a week and my wife's great aunt actually died, they weren't kidding about this being a bad flu year.... And it would have gone down in history as "the bad flu season of 1990" or some such, with a slight upward tick in mortality for a year or two, followed by a year or two of slight downward ticks in mortality, to reflect the deaths that were "pulled forward". And in another year or two, the only people who would have remember would be medical personnel and people who lost old/sick people a bit earlier than expected during "that bad flu year we had."

Instead, a new, slightly-worse-than-usual-for-the-care-home-set, bad-flu-season-this-year virus got turned into the apocalypse, for reasons that I doubt any of us fully understand.

In regards to conspiracy-theory thinking, it is useful to remember that what on the surface looks like collusion is simply the confluence of independent and otherwise mutually disinterested parties seeking their own advantage. As an example, what do coffee & tea importers, protestant clergy, and the mafia all have in common? These days, nothing at all: they mostly don't even talk to each other, and never did. But when Prohibition was on in full bloom, they all supported it - albeit for very different reasons - and so enthusiastically so that at the time it appeared they were conspiring together. While actual conspiracies do exist in society, it is far more common that the apparent 'conspirators' are just by coincidence supporting the same policies independently - and with very different motivations and expectations.

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for this update, I’m glad you have made it through in one of the more difficult places to be.

I appreciate and understand you saying that it’s not so easy to just leave. I lived in Manhattan 20 years ago and still have a few friends there who I am in contact with.

Both work in a major Manhattan hospital system and tried to get religious exemptions. It seems like the hospital had a battle plan to make sure no exemptions were allowed. there was just no way for them to just leave. They are both deeply rooted in their communities and have been loyal the hospital all this time. But the hospital had a very sneaky response to them, changing the rules and deadlines as they went so that it would be impossible to actually even get the exemption in on time. The ones who did get them in on time were flatly rejected. Is that even legal? Anyway both felt forced and took the J and J.

One responded by focusing on her health: detox, supplements, distressing to make sure there was minimal damage. The other was just angry.

Best wishes with your new job.

Remote Viewing

[personal profile] boccaccio 2023-02-09 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Last week and earlier this week remote viewer Edward Riordan has been mentioned. He posted in November 2017 5 RV sessions on youtube that are quite stunning. He posted an interesting update on Nov 26th last year that you can see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo7ulihIo5s. In it he walks through his notes from 4 of the 5 2017 sessions.

I've watched the first 2 installments of 2017, skimmed through the rest and watched his update. There is a lot that he 'saw' back in 2017. I took some notes that I'll share here. He writes key-words and concepts on a piece of paper while he receives a message and somtimes makes a drawing. I copied some of his key words/phrases. My additions are between []

Session 1:
bands, metallic taste, fibrous bands, clustered together, reminds me of blood coursing through veins
fear of something, growing or expanding, reminds me of the plague
[he draws something similar to the fibrin clots that embalmers found]
virus, but also something communicating, like a broadcast
feel like I'm in a communication with a telepathic life form, feels crazy, like I'm being pushed beyond my beliefs
some break or transforming created the signal
something not right, it feels aware, conscious, a strange kind of awareness
this feeling of death and life
has an effect on the human body
signal-transmission, like getting hit with radiation
[all the while he keeps repeating how bizarre and weird this session is]

Session 2:
What is purpose of this communication? - feeling of an accidental break, like a distress call
concern, fear, something gone wrong
ominous feeling
signal release from the breach

What is the [content of the] signal?
the signal has information about the broken thing, malfunction, breach information
this feels technical and biological
I feel like something f*** up, something unexpected happened
unstoppable chainreaction
huge impact

What does the signal say?
breakdown, integrity breach [many things mentioned including cars etc but also organisms, cells, DNA]

What would be the effect of this event?
[drawing of a piece of land that is cleared, bleached, etc from above. Ed doesn't understand and ends the session]

Session 3:
micro organisms moving through veins
signs/communication is on a schedule or program
signal is third element, like an alarm system going off.

contamination zones, coordinated, breach
like some dark thing in there, dangerous, deadly

Session 4:
breach, contamination, stay away, biological, concern, fear
bad feeling about this place, [he draws a building, seems to me a bio-lab], scientists, geneticsists
things ar frozen inside, like a bacteria freezer
an effect mechanism, spreading, contaminating, consuming, growing
the creepy things [micro organisms] come from this place

[this seems to point at a lab where the vax was developed, especially the freezer is a hit. It also seems to suggest the microclots grow]

Session 5
[he writes something like the micro organisms are in the blood]
something of the blood gets filtered through the micro organism and is sent back into the bloodstream
negative effects on host are immediate, very fast

it grows in the blood vessels, it lengthens restricts and contracts the veins amd muscles, hardening the body
the body hardens as the organism takes over

How does the organism reach the host?
human delivery system
human to human
someone bringing it
being brought over
[This is too much for Ed and he goes over to another question. This points to the vax imo]

Who is behind this?
sense of science, very intelligent, science and biology experts

Comments and discussion Boccacicio:
Ed seems to have had solid hits on the virus, that it escaped from a lab, the tall bloodclots and the micro bloodclotting, the vax that delivers the clots to humans and the role of scientists in all of this. Very impressive!

In the sessions there is a lot to do about communication that is taking place. I didn't capture it all and would have to take a second look to say more about it. But it is important in the RV as it keeps coming back. I get the impression Ed himself doesn't want to talk about it in public. In his update he makes twice a remark that suggests that the is more to come

At 7:40:"the wifi signal thing... that is still to come"
At 10:00:"type of signal interacting [with the micro organisms] which we will... there is a lot more to come"

I get the impression from his RV that in somewhere in the future there will be a coordinated action from several labs at the same time and that will somehow interact with the micro organisms. In such a case I would expect the leaking of a new pathogen, but in the readings it looks more like a wifi like signal being sent out (5G or something??). Perhaps in the micro organism is something like the grafene or nano technology that is spoken about in the more obscure corners of the internet, or they are otherwise responsive to radiation.

I want to avoid cruising into out-there conspiracyland so I'll leave it at this. Under usual circumstances I would never bring up such subjects here, but as Ed has so many hits I feel I can't leave it out in this report. Curious what impressions others have, if any.

In this edition of "two fringes come together" Sharon Astyk advises people to not trust the medical system, expect it to collapse soon, and learn to take care of your own health. Hmmm where have I heard of that before? Also says that Dem and Rep policy in the US is exactly same - a lack of care of sick people with no treatments for covid that work and ignoring the mass death going on. Gee you don't say?

As the World Burns https://ko-fi.com/post/As-The-World-Burns-J3J8IKMQP

(an excerpt since its very long)

In one case, a friend's sister, a nurse at a local hospital developed cardiac symptoms while ill with Covid. hey were taken to a local hospital where, once a heart attack was ruled out with the most basic tests, they were given almost no treatment - sent home with nothing.

No one checked for blood clots or even gave her an IV despite the fact she was dehydrated and struggling to breathe. They were just too overwhelmed, despite the fact that your risk of death from cardiovascular complications of covid is 81% higher during infection and remains high for months afterwards.

In another case, a friend of a friend had a severe injury involving multiple broken bones and spent a day and a half in an ER with minimal treatment in unsafe conditions. Ordered tests and treatments were not provided, and he, without pain medication or support had to advocate for the most basic services, including food. He was able to eat, but did not for a day and a half until a spouse brought food. He spent the whole time in a hallway because there were no beds, had to use a toilet that was covered with blood and received only minimal treatment.

Still another friend got an urgent call about her father, in an assisted living center. The center's supervising nurse was concerned about her father's condition, but also concerned because the last several times they had admitted a patient, they came back with Covid and caused a mass outbreak in the facility, including deaths.

The supervisor wanted my friend to tell her whether to take her father in (and the reasons for sending him were quite compelling) or to wait, for fear that the Covid would kill her father more quickly and painfully than his current situation. My friend reluctantly chose to wait until they could take her father to a doctor the next day, but had no idea if she made the right choice. She has no training to enable her - and the supervising nurse said she truly did not know what to do.

Still another friend with end-stage cancer (although still hopefully months or longer to go) has recently decided she WILL NOT go to the hospital at all again, no matter what her condition, because the last time she had to enter the hospital, in December, she was placed in a room with a patient who had Covid, and despite n95s, still had to eat and drink.

My friend got Covid, was sick for a month and did not get back much of her function, she is still suffering. When she protested as a severely immunocompromised person having to share a room with a person with active Covid, she was told there was no where else to put her.

These are not the only such stories I see and hear. All of these happened in the last month and a half, and all in my own region, where medical masking is still in place and medical care is generally quite good. People are making less frightening, but still troubling variations on these decisions all the time, such as...

Do I take my kid to urgent care filled with coughing children and expose her to her second, third, fourth or fifth Covid infection for this condition or not? Is this something that requires a doctor or not?
Do I go to my routine mammogram or colonoscopy appointment if I'm immunocompromised in a state that doesn't mandate medical masking?
I'm going to lose my job if I miss more work, but if I take my kid to the ER, there's a very good chance we won't be out by morning? Do I take my very sick kid or not?
Mistakes are going to be made in these situations - people will fail to seek medical care when they really should, and either arrive sicker or too late. The fear of nosocomial infection in the hospital or at the doctor is very real, particularly in states that have given up medical masking, and in overwhelmed hospitals and ERs - estimate is that it may be responsible for as many as 20% of infections. Medical mistakes by exhausted, overwhelmed professionals will happen this way too.

I want to be very clear - doctors and nurses are NOT responsible for the situation that has been created.

They have been denied support, funding has been cut, safe practices were undermined, and many doctors and nurses are dealing with long Covid and medical consequences. Every night in many hospitals is a crisis, and many doctors and nurses are leaving the field because they cannot provide the kind of care they entered the field to give. Friends of mine who are both doctors and nurses say they have no idea how things can keep going on like this.

In the US, we have a picture, though, of what healthcare collapse might look like in its next stage in the UK, which has defunded the NHS while in crisis is ahead of the US by some months in disastrous situations - at this point the estimate is that 500 people in the UK die every week due to health care failures caused by long waits, inadequate staffing and even ambulance failures. It may not be that bad in the US and Canada yet, but it isn't good, and we're headed in that direction. In the US a comparable set of losses would be several thousand a week - double what we are already losing to Covid.
...

Despite the fact that the medical system in the US is in mass crisis, last night's state of the Union contained absolutely nothing except self-congratulations about the Covid pandemic. Joe Biden told us we have "broken Covid's grip on us" - but that's simply factually untrue.

We are still seeing two 9/11s of deaths EVERY SINGLE week. Deaths have been over 500 per DAY for months. Excess deaths in the US are almost double the official Covid deaths. Every day we see people dying suddenly of cardiovascular complications that broadly are linked to Covid (any given case is questionable, the aggregate extremely clear.)

Biden plans to end the pandemic "officially" simply by declaring it over, regardless of the human costs and suffering. By doing so he will move vaccination and treatment and even health care access out of reach of many of the US's poorest citizens. More people will die, because Democrats see the pandemic as a losing issue, and are unable and unwilling to grapple with the heavy costs of their failed-vaccine only strategy, or stand up to the Republicans.

I can say this more bluntly than I am - the Democrats and the Republicans relationship to the pandemic and its mass death - more than 2 million people in three years if we are including all excess deaths - have EXACTLY the same policy, and is part of the EXACT SAME NORMALIZATION OF MASS DEATH.

Both parties have betrayed the American people in the most basic way by denying them the "Life" and "Happiness" parts of our supposedly valued "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." It is impossible to be happy when you lack health. It is impossible for many people to remain alive when you are constantly being reinfected with a Level 3 biohazard virus.

Whenever the Democrats and the Republicans are indistinguishable, the fundamental amorality of that policy is very, very evident to anyone with eyes. If the Democrats can't find a path that isn't the way of the far right-wing death cult (and they have tracked the right in every single respect but one) they are FAILING their country, and have lost their moral compass.

But wait - the Democrats believe in vaccinations, right? That's the big difference, no?

That would be true, except for two problems. First, the Democrats in theory believe in vaccinations, but they've done a horrifically bad job in actually getting people vaccinated and kept up with their vaccines. AND THAT IS NOT AN ACCIDENT. We know they CAN get people to take the vaccines - in 2021 uptake was many times what it is at present. But they are not doing so. In fact, it is getting harder and harder to get people to vaccinate at all for ANY disease, because anti-vax rhetoric is so much louder than the US government. And there's a reason for that.

...
In this sense Democrats, despite being officially pro-vax, are depending as much on the right wing anti-vaccine movement as the Republicans are (I'm actually a bit surprised that the Republicans haven't figured that out and changed gears, actually.)

The Democrats are as much in denial about mass death and about the realities of the pandemic as the Republicans are. And whenever the party of mass death and mass evil allies with the party that officially is supposed to be opposed to both mass death and evil, nothing good happens - the price is paid by ordinary Americans, and there is no moral place for an American that values human lives to rest.

At some point, this will no longer stand and no longer be viable. People are increasingly angry about the loss of health and security, and increasingly frightened by constant illness. Vaccination rates for children are plummeting and Covid immune damage is making our kids and ourselves sicker than ever before. At some point, the backlash will be huge, with millions of angry parents of hurt children holding the Biden administration responsible for what they have wrought in the name of avoiding an unpleasant battle. At some point all the good Biden has accomplished will be overshadowed permanently by the dead with his name on it.

At some point the house of cards will all fall apart, in rage and mass death even greater than at present, because pandemics don't do what you want, just because you want it. At some point the damage that lurks under the surface will rise - the virus is oncogenic too, and the waves of cancer and brain damage coming are terrifying. But until then, expect the situation in your local hospital and among your family and friends to get worse and worse. Expect to struggle to access both basic and emergency medicine. Expect some of the suffering to be not from Covid per se, but from a collapsing medical system.

Which brings me back to the pragmatic question of how we protect ourselves in this world we've wrought. And the frightening answer is that you need to be ready for medical emergencies in which you cannot seek or obtain treatment in a timely way.

Please understand, I am not suggesting people avoid medical care. I think you should go if you are in any doubt about your health or safety. Wear an N95 mask and seek treatment. But even if you do, you may need to provide for some of your own needs if the system is overwhelmed enough.

You may need this because ambulance wait times are up long enough that you may have to care for someone in crisis for much longer than you'd like to - in the UK some ambulance wait times were measured in hours.

You might go to the ER and need to care for your loved ones in the waiting room for hours or days. They might not get fed or properly cared for. In many hospitals in the global south it is the responsibility of friends and family to provide basic physical care - food, toileting, blankets, assistance with basic mobility. That's the model are moving towards.

You may seek treatment and be given prescriptions you cannot fill because the medicine is not available or be ordered diagnostic tests you cannot get because the medical equipment to perform tests and treatments is not available.

You may be afraid to take yourself or you family members in crisis to the hospital or urgent care, and be trying whether you can take care of it at home. For the most vulnerable, this is an agonizing choice, and there's a great deal of fear of making a mistake.

You may find that the risk of infection is greater than the benefit of treatment might be in some cases. Or you have to weigh whether something is worth the risk. Sometimes the answer may be no.

Most of us were not trained for those decisions. But the more medical education you can get right now, the better you will be at making them, whether you make that intentionally or have it thrust upon you. I would strongly encourage EVERYONE who can to take a first aid course. If available, CERT training is also excellent.

Make sure you have a good first aid kit (a REAL one) and wide selection of OTC medications if you can afford them. Learn about preventative care, and try and avoid situations that might endanger you. Make sure your stepladder is sturdy and avoid going up on the roof unless you have to. Take extra care on icy sidewalks and with hot and sharp objects (note to self.) Lock up your firearms and all medications to prevent accidents and suicide attempts (remember, Covid can cause psychosis.)

Have a medical kit available, and some specialized stuff (I felt kind of silly moving the large burn kit that I had never opened from one house to another, but I'm damned glad I did - just like your fire extinguisher, the main goal of your medical supplies is NOT to need them. It isn't like frozen yogurt stamps, you don't get extra good stuff for needing them ;-)) if you can manage - if you don't need it, a neighbor might. Consider a suture kit (and learn how to use it), a a burn kit, an eyewash, a dental repair kit, extra Covid and strep rapid tests, etc...

If you can, get needed medical care during times of low occupancy - every time you have a chance to get something that needs doing done, act like it might be the last time for a long time. If you can, get that colonoscopy, the mammogram, get the dermatologist to look at your skin, etc...

Given medical shortages, hang on to old meds and medical equipment - like glasses, crutches, commodes and walkers. Most non-liquid medicines do not become toxic over time, most may lose some potency but are better than nothing. If you can get an additional prescription and afford to pay out of pocket for extras, get them, or get your doctor to write you a script for a higher dose that can be cut in half.

Buy books like "Where there is No Doctor" "Where there is no dentist" "The Survival Medicine Handbook" and "The Herbal Medic" and READ THEM - you won't have time in a crisis. Learn basic herbal medicine - even if you are skeptical, assume it is probably mostly better than the nothing you might have offered to you otherwise.

Know who has medical skills in your neighborhood. Knowing which door to knock on in an emergency is important. Consider forming a neighborhood organization of some sort. Many communities have Street Medic groups that are a superb resource. Organize trainings for your community in Narcan administration. Share resources so you can ask who has the right size crutches.

Most of all, support one another - these are not easy times, and they aren't getting better soon. I wish I didn't have to write these things, but this is the world we live in.

Didn't Bernie Sanders have one? Not sure but recently he was the only one in a big official crowd wearing an official N95 or some such.
