Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 56

if onlyAs we move further into the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

During WWII in occupied Netherlands, citizens received a scanty ration of firewood. They used their limited fuel to cook a stew and placed the hot stewpot under a lot of blankets at the foot of the bed. The retained heat continued to cook the food for a few hours and when the day got darker, people retired to bed and ate their dinner in a well-warmed bed.

Retained heat cookery takes a little practice, but it can save on fuel when done correctly. You can also use hay boxes to keep water warmish over night instead of letting it freeze while standing out in the open. Unfrozen morning wash water is awfully nice; also watering farm livestock from pails kept in a haybox overnight can make life easier in winter.

Let's do a psychological experiment - everyone please be honest!

You meet 2 people: one is a suckup, servile yesman that keeps complimenting you, offers to bring you coffee etc.
The other is proud, respectful but honest.

Who do you trust? Who would you befriend? Don't you feel sometimes like smacking the first one as he keeps agreeing with you?

So, at least in this respect, our leaders are just like me (maybe other people are nicer).

Add to that that a lot of people have slave souls (meaning they prefer others to make their decisions for them) and you have a match made in hell.

New Seneff Papers

[personal profile] dendroica 2022-09-02 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Stephanie Seneff is a senior researcher at MIT who is somewhat famous for her work on glyphosate herbicide toxicity. Her main focus is synthesizing existing multidisciplinary research and preliminary data to identify potential biological mechanisms of harm worthy of further investigation. I looked up one of her previous papers on innate immune suppression potential earlier today and decided to see if she has published anything new on covid and the vaccines. Indeed she has, and it's not pretty...

In both of these cases the concerns will apply to both the virus and the vaccines, although she offers solid reasons to suspect that the mRNA vaccines will be worse.

SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein in the Pathogenesis of Prion-like Diseases (8-16-2022)
https://www.authorea.com/doi/full/10.22541/au.166069342.27133443

Abstract:
Human prion protein and prion-like protein misfolding are widely recognized as playing a causal role in a large and growing number of neurodegenerative diseases. Here we summarize the compelling evidence that the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 contains extended amino acid sequences previously established as characteristic of a prion-like protein. This suggests that vaccine-induced spike protein production is synonymous with production of a prion-like protein, and we trace some of the various pathways through which these proteins should be expected to traverse and distribute throughout the body. We describe some of the highly concerning biological consequences that would be expected to occur with increased frequency as a consequence. Specifically, we describe spike-protein contribution, via its prion-like properties, to neuroinflammation and neurodegenera-tive diseases; to clotting disorders within the vasculature; to suppressed prion protein regulation in the context of widely prevalent insulin resistance; and other health complications it could be expected to induce. We explain why these prion-like characteristics are more relevant to vaccine-related mRNA-induced spike proteins than natural infection with SARS-CoV-2. We conclude with some potentially ominous public health implications and recommendations for investigations of these possibilities.

Potential Mechanisms for Human Genome Integration of Genetic Code from SARS-CoV-2 mRNA Vaccination (9-1-2022)
https://www.authorea.com/users/455597/articles/584039-potential-mechanisms-for-human-genome-integration-of-genetic-code-from-sars-cov-2-mrna-vaccination

Abstract:

Background
The findings of a sequence embedded in Human DNA that was almost identical to a sequence in the SARS-CoV-2 genome, and the identification of plausible integration of SARS-CoV-2 RNA into human DNA by endogenous reverse transcriptase activity expressed by Long Interspersed Nuclear Element (LINE)-1 (17% of Human DNA) have raised concerns about the long-term safety of messenger-RNA (mRNA) based vaccination. Recent data demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 RNA sequences can be transcribed into DNA and may be actively integrated into the genome of affected human cells, mediated by retrotransposons. Complementarily, in some SARS-CoV-2 infected patient specimens, there is evidence for a large fraction SARS-CoV-2 sequence integration and subsequent generation of SARS-CoV-2-human chimeric transcripts.

Results
In this review, the potential role of mobile genetic elements in the etiopathogenesis of cardiovascular, neurological, immunological, and oncological disease and the possibilities of human DNA interference by SARS-CoV-2 vaccination are repositioned. Vulnerable human stem cells as well as gametocytes can presumably be the first targets for unwanted RNA interference. Given the many genetic manipulations of the RNA coding for the SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein in the vaccines, manipulations designed to increase stability and efficiency of spike protein translation, much remains uncertain about the potential disruptions to cellular physiology and homeostasis that could ensue. The predicted consequences pose serious risks to human health that are in need of clarification.

Conclusion
Further toxicity evaluations are urgently needed to quantify potential emergence of interference with canonical DNA processes that could detrimentally impact the mRNA-vaccinated population.

confusion as to if from COVID

(Anonymous) 2022-09-02 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
My youngest dd has been having immune issues for the last couple years, gets sicker than one would think and more often, she is 24yr old. I was thinking it might be a long term effect of COVID,( or the vaccine making it all worse ? She has been positive for COVID at least 3x and, because they would have kicked her out of college if she didn't, has had the vx and one booster.)

Our confusion is that this started with her after getting sick in OCTOBER of 2019. She has been "off" since then, so 3 years now. Whatever it was that she had, it had her fairly sick, and she thought she was well over it, it had been long enough for most regular virus', and came home for a visit. I got sick with it early NOVEMBER 2019, sickest I remember being. Nasty virus, realy worn down from it, I got better. Her college gets most people back on campus semester scheduale late September, and students from all over the world, incl China.

By spring of 2020, when everyone was worried about the new COVID virus, she was still worn down and not right and developed asthma, her Grad program kept in person classes longer than the undergrads, and she had to leave class and be driven to the ER twice in 2 weeks due to not being able to breath, the newly developed asthma. The doctors believed it was likely triggered by her being ill in October. They did the COVID PCR test, she was negative. They put her on a daily or 2x daily steroid inhaler. She finally kicked that on her own earlier this year, so she used it almost 2 years. They do not follow up or try to taper off these things.

Since that fall 2019 illness, she has officially "had" COVID at least 3 times, the first time, Dec. 2020, before they were vaccinating the college students. Since Dec. 2020, COVID at least twice more, vx then booster, and any and every other illness going around ( last week she just got over being real sick from Crypto, super sick for a week, then still weak and working thru it ( caused by a protazoa I think))

I have told her my theory that the Fall 2019 illness we both had was the early COVID which was worse as each newer varient is less problematic. She claims that it could not have been COVID as she donated blood since then, during 2020, but prior to Dec. 2020 and her officially Getting COVID, when she claims the Red Cross was asking for donations and screening all blood for COVID. She claims that the Red Cross would have told her if her blood had the COVID antibodies.

Has anyone here heard of this ? Were they realy screening the blood supply in 2020 ? And if so, would actually have told the donor ?

Have you heard of other USA COVID in fall of 2019 ? We are CA, she was at a UC.

As for me, I have never officially tested positive for COVID, just one or 2 cold or flu type illness since the bad Nov 2019 one, spring 2022, and the new tests had me as covid negative for both. It could be that the new tests are skewed to be negative, like the early ones were skewed to be positive

Re: Interview with a Tasmanian funeral director.

[personal profile] p_coyle 2022-09-02 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
this is a very good point. i did some searching, and couldn't find any statistics on funeral homes going out of business.

i found a story about one that closed, but it was basically someone who planned to retire in june of '21 and due to the stress of covid rules decided to move it forward to september of '20.

another story from texas had this quote:

"'And we've heard from quite a few more peers that the number of cases that they're receiving are so overwhelming, that they're actually having [to] turn down families and asked them to please contact another funeral home because they just can't care for their loved one properly as they should be able to,' Lacy explained."

i've also seen some stories on financial sites about funeral home stocks (?!) being hot investments.

without any concrete data it's all conjecture, but i would think that excess dead people would be a boon for this particular niche business.

another interesting thing i found in my searching is that cremation is way up and burial way down. reports of homes being overwhelmed by the amount of cremated remains on site, including unclaimed ashes. and they think the cremation/burial rate will be radically different, even after covid has blown over (yeah, right).

but i agree that business closures could be a factor, either due to financial reasons, the hassle of dealing with covid restrictions, or due to the owner succumbing to the virus. without the data, we just can't know with any surety. what a world!

My main takeaway from the second paper just released today is that there are quite a few mechanisms by which mRNA vaccination and/or spike protein could cause or accelerate cancer.

i saw that too. and figured our "elites" were doing the same. but a bunch of the quadruple vaxxed ringleaders have had the coof lately, "took" the paxlovid, and got it again. and then saying the words.

they could be lying, as that's what they are best at, but...

i don't discount the fact that some of the wealthy aren't fools, but i will admit that the majority of them are. they prove it each and every day.

if i had enough cash to get fake papers i surely would have done so back when the lack of such created an obstacle to going about your daily business, but i adapted and was able to get along just fine as a plague rat. but it was mostly due to the fact that where i live didn't go completely batguano crazy.

Argentina - mysterious deadly pneumonia reported

"Three people have died this week in Argentina due to pneumonia of unknown origin, local health authorities said on Thursday.

Six others have been infected, experts say as they ruled out Covid, influenza, and Hantavirus as causative agents, according to local news reports."

This sounds weird and worrying - early thoughts?

Still here also. And you still haven't, to me, made any sense out of your comparison of the two groups. I have no way of knowing which of my narrative-believing relatives (some of whom I know aren't quite as narrative-believing as before) would agree with that censorship if they knew about it. I didn't know about it myself until I just read it right now (I mean, that specific example). Why should people not defend their families against such a poor comparison?

In my experience, lots of psychiatrists, psychologists and GP's believe that. They just can't say it. As soon as you say it to them, or talk about how other cultures handle these issues, they tend to be a lot more frank with my beliefs.

I used to do residential disability support (before I wasn't allowed to because I'm so dangerous). A lot of the African support workers refused to sleep in a house with certain particularly disabled (and deranged) individuals. Said it was risky to fall asleep around so many evil spirits. I'm not African, but I've had some nasty paranormal experiences in those houses, but more with the teenagers removed from their parents than the disabled people.

Id say its certain Europe will have a massive increase in winter "excess deaths".

If I was been conspiracy minded - Id say the war with Russia, Sanctions, Energy shortages etc are an excellent cover....

Putin will be the go to excuse / fall guys for the increased mortality.....which I suspect will be highly visible to the public....

Even if you are trying to do critical analysis on the cause of the excess mortality Im guessing it would be impossible to really pin it down and nobody will really be that motivated to look - they will already have a boogey man lined up to blame....

How this works in the US and say in my home country of NZ will be interesting to see....

Censorship and Media Propaganda is now rife in NZ. Its likley been around for a long time but now it is very overt and in your face....I have to wonder if this is a sign of desperation and panic in the leadership.....

A sizeable minority in NZ now see what is truly going on and are starting to self organize - a good example is voices for freedom....

Govt agencies are now actively starting to interfere in our local elections, largely due to it being widely known "resistance" groups are coordinating to stand up candidates for local elections etc....Their are smear campaigns and propaganda efforts under way....

I also believe these resistance organizations are now starting to have an effect on govt policy...fro example a National Flyer drop (I mean millions of hand posted flyers) I suspect has caused the govt to imminently look to remove mask mandates in NZ....I think they have been forced to do this otherwise risk an overtly public act of non-compliance becoming highly visible.....

This gives me some hope that those pushing this madness are not having everything go their way....

Thank you for the reasonable question.

I want to say that there may be a fundamental contradiction between improved ventilation (which has a great deal of supportive evidence - stale air is detrimental to health for many reasons, and the potential for carrying potentially infective viral loads is only one of them) and wearing masks.

The first *improves* air quality in a space, the second *disimproves* air quality available for direct intake at the locality of the mouths and noses of individuals.

I do think that masks have some value when used by trained professionals as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in situations considered especially risky - for example in a surgical theatre/operating room.

However, to ask untrained people to use any old mask, any old way, with no knowledge of what protection they are trying to achieve, and how to actually achieve it, turns out to be counterprotective to the preservation of health. It does not stop transmission of viral loads (because of incorrect use) but it does disimprove the quality of air being breathed (because used at all).

This is what people mean when they say there is no evidence that "masks work". They are referring to this general requirement for people not trained in their uses, to put any old rag across their faces, and keep it there when asked to do so. There is no evidence that this type of requirement achieves anything useful, and some evidence that it can produce harm.

Improved ventilation, on the other hand... It has ALWAYS been a sound recommendation... not just now!

Re: a note

[personal profile] scotlyn 2022-09-02 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Dear Erika,
I am so glad to see you back here! xx

"THEY ARE USING OUR MORALITY AGAINST US OURSELVES"

I, too, have often thought about times when people's best traits get weaponised (by someone) against them. Which can be like being caught in a magic mirror spell, where you begin to see yourself as the other sees you, instead of looking AT them out of your own eyes. And you cannot break that spell without giving up the mirror (ie - that other person's "seeing" of you) - and the fascination that your reflection/image exerts upon you, and taking up the task of "seeing" OUT of your eyes, for yourself, and looking BACK.

Anyway, I still think that there is a mis-remembering going on here of a conversation you and I had a ways back...

First: "THIS is why we're collectively not gonna get outta this in the west. this and Scotlyn thinking talking about love is WAAAAY too intimate when it's EVERYTHING and why we're cutting ourselves apart up and away from each other."

To whicH (me): "...I do not recall saying that 'talking about love is WAAAAY too intimate..' What I recall saying is that a love story with another person in it is a story that may not be mine to tell. It is also their story, and I tend to tread carefully around the telling of another person's story. Partly this is how I've trained myself to treat every single thing that happens in my clinic. But it is also that too many people get spoken FOR, or spoken ABOUT, and they get no 'right of reply'..."

And today: "why does Scotlyn think it's TOO PERSONAL to speak of publicly?"

To which I say, Erika, why do you want me to strip OTHER PEOPLE of THEIR clothes and make THEM naked before you?

Me, I'm here. Strip me naked, if you wish... and let us love one another. Them, they are not here. They cannot speak for themselves. They cannot consent, say yea or nay, to their (proposed) nakedness, and I will not put them on show, for anyone's gratification. Love stories *with other people in them* are not mine to share.

That is my morality. Will you use it against me?

Bulgaria... for the win?

[personal profile] methylethyl 2022-09-02 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Preface: the usual cautions about how I don't know how reliable any given country's statistics are. Bulgaria included.

But this is really interesting: while oodles of other industrialized countries have been experiencing higher-than-expected all-cause mortality since about April this year, there's a weird exception: Bulgaria.

https://www.nsi.bg/en/content/18121/basic-page/deaths-bulgaria-weeks

Bulgaria has been running mostly *below* average.... also since April this year.

Coincidentally, Bulgaria also has the lowest vax rates in the EU, at a little under 30% (most others were over 60%). They got a lot of media flak over the last couple of years for that. They apparently had really high covid death rates-- one could posit that their current good-looking rates are simply because a higher-than-average number of the weak and susceptible were killed off during the initial three or four COVID waves, which are visible on the graphs linked above.

Here's a primo example of the MSM on that from November last year:

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/deaths-50-above-normal-bulgaria-eus-least-vaccinated-country-eurostat-2021-11-16/

Anyway, on the graphs page, their data ends with July this year, and I'll try to remember to check back and see what it looks like for August-- July had a rise to very-slightly-above-average after sixteen straight weeks below average.

Compare this to, say, Australia, where deaths have been running way over the baseline range since October 2021:

https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/health/causes-death/provisional-mortality-statistics/latest-release

Or compare to UK:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1088911/Weekly_report_mortality_W27.pdf

(see graph on p2) which is running fairly steady above baseline since late 2021, separate from any COVID waves.

Or the US:

https://www.usmortality.com/mortality/weekly

which has also been steady above baseline since... April this year.

Counterexample: Sweden, which seems to be running a little below baseline since... about April.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1115707/sweden-number-of-deaths-per-week/

That same season, back in 2020, in Sweden, saw a huge out-of-season spike in deaths. You'll recall they didn't lock down. So it's interesting that the covid "waves" that are clear in other countries' charts seem to be missing from Sweden's. I wonder what happened with lockdowns in Bulgaria?

Germany seems to be running steadily above average, even when that average includes 2020 and 2021 and the average is the last five years:

https://www.destatis.de/EN/Themes/Cross-Section/Corona/Society/population_death.html

Spain? I got lazy searching for a chart, but found this:
https://euroweeklynews.com/2022/06/15/spanish-media-slams-officials-as-excess-mortality-continues-in-spain-with-no-explanation/

No explanation. Shrug.

So I'd love to hear what anybody else has to make of all that. Particularly Bulgaria and Sweden. Because what those two countries have in common doesn't seem to be vax rates. Might just be allowing nature to take its course and not trying too hard to squelch a respiratory virus. Does anybody know what lockdown measures were done in Bulgaria, and/or how successful those measures were? How reliable are their stats?
