Has anyone else seen the meltdowns in the media about HHS requiring vaccines be tested against placebos? My personal favorite line, for the sheer lack of self knowledge shown, comes from the Boston Globe*:
"“It’s just not correct. They obviously don’t understand how vaccines are approved and how one obtains safety data,” said Michael Osterholm, a University of Minnesota infectious-disease expert who advised President Joe Biden’s transition team, adding that the change threatened the existence of coronavirus vaccines."
I can't think of any way to parse that other than "These vaccines cannot pass normal clinical trials". I did not think the mass media could surprise me anymore, but saying outright that requiring full testing is a bad idea because the coronavirus vaccines won't survive did actually surprise me.
