ecosophia | Two dates for the calendar

A couple of dates for readers of mine to be aware of.

First, if you happen to be in or near Providence, RI on June 22, 2024, the 7th annual Ecosophia midsummer potluck will be held at the house of Peter Van Erp, right across the street from the Charles Dexter Ward house in Providenc.e. (I can't promise that Charles or Lydia will put in an appearance, but here's hoping!) Details and signup sheet are here, and whoever's coming from furthest away has a room waiting in Peter's house.

Second, an Ecosophian gathering is being arranged in Glastonbury, England, on June 6-8 of 2025 -- yes, a little over a year from now -- and I'll be there. Current plans are for a ramble through the historic sites on the 6th, followed by two days of talks and discussions at the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms; tickets for the whole shebang will be around £50-£60. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at one or the other -- or both!

If it's not too late, I would be up for a similar thing in RI. Talks maybe too late, but what about rambling about historical sites?

There's not a lot of them within easy rambling distance! One of these days I'd like to arrange for something a little more extensive than the current potluck, to provide room for talks, initiations, attunements, and the like.

We are having a picnic on Saturday 13 July at my farm on Denman Island British Columbia, Canada. People can come for the farm tour at 11 a.m. and the picnic at noon. My third visit -- it's a lovely place, with energies I find very appealing.

Funnily enough, I was just in Glastonbury the other day, and imagining how cool it would be to go on a little walking tour of the area with JMG and the other ecosophians. Guess I was picking up on something in the air. I'll be there! Looking forward to it already.

This looks good and the date's in the diary. Haven't been to Glastonbury for years and this will be an excellent reason to visit again.

Wonderful news you will be coming to Glastonbury. That’s a bit of a trek for me. But I will figure out a solution as I’m keen to attend and Glastonbury has been on my bucket list for some time.

JMG, if you fancied a trip to the Rollright Stones in Oxfordshire we could pick you up at Charlbury station. It's a lovely spot, with a fabulous view, and Earthworm's labyrinth is in the woods right next to the stones.

I had a tour around Avebury recently and sent you the comment and question about the remains with long skulls in the mounds in there, which have been completely ignored by academia/archeologists for years. I think I sent you the link to our guide's book as well?

Anyway, the lady that did the tour - Maria - mentioned that she thinks that some of these sites, were also used to follow/track lunar alignments and there's one occurring next year in Avebury...

Funny thing is that I thought about asking you about this and for a moment considered that it'd be great if you were there next year...crazy stuff!

I was hoping one of these days when you had the time you would read the book and maybe write a post about Stonehenge, Avebury, etc...

Definitely going to book to see you, apologies if I sound a bit like a crazy fan also trying to sell you something, it's just there's no one else to talk about random stuff like this
