Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 108

I will not wear it, sam I amWe are now in the third year of these open posts. As the phrase "died suddenly" repeats in the mass media like a mantra, statistics for work days lost to illness and all-cause mortality mount up in heavily vaccinated nations, and more and more ugly facts about the official response to Covid spill out into public, we are entering what may well turn out to be the most difficult period of the Covid disaster -- the phase in which denial rises in lockstep with the death rate, and a great many people try not to admit what has been done to them by the people and institutions they trusted. It could get ugly, folks.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

The best explanation?

(Anonymous) 2023-08-30 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Why are they trying this again? My main guess for now is that they think it's the best way to explain the increasing number of fox-related injuries and deaths. I thought maybe they'd try pinning the side effects on Putin or Trump's new election campaign but there's a better way to explain them: all the weird health problems are coming from a new Covid variant!

Like others commenting here, I don't believe that the majority of the population wants to return to absurd epidemic control cultism. I see the largest possible impact of a new Covid panic happening through radicalization of Covidian true believers. Given that such people are overrepresented in government agencies, they may be overestimating the number of people who can be instrumentalized in this way but that doesn't mean they can't do a lot of damage. I could see movements of people to sabotage the public commons because "we have to stop people from gathering and spreading Covid." If you saw stories on the attempt by Extinction Rebellion protesters to stop Burning Man, imagine lots of small groups trying similar things. Calling in a bomb threat to a restaurant is justified if you're saving people from a deadly disease, right?

Of course this creates a perfect opportunity for election interference. Is it really ethical to hold primary elections in the middle of a new pandemic? I'm sure in such exceptional circumstances the Republican party leadership can be trusted to select their next Presidential candidate. And we'll need all mail-in voting for the general, of course.

Agreed that the only place I'm hearing about renewed lockdowns and mandates right now is on this discussion board. I sense some concern among the left-leaning populace and I've heard of more folks "down with the coof" lately, but I'm not seeing a move toward renewed fearmongering or draconian measures in my blue college town. No more masks than usual yet either.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-31 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Where I work there's a steady one-third of people who mask up daily, from Doctors and Nurses to security, drivers and cleanup (yes it's a hospital, but with what we now know…). Plus I have a friend – someone who hasn't taken the shot, no less – who still wears masks and expects me to wear an N95 mask whenever I visit.

So yes, it's out there. There will be a greater number of people opposed to remasking, but the pro-masking group is out there, not necessarily hoping for the return to masking but ready to take that step and enforce it on others if necessary.

It really is not a good sign on a person-by-person basis, but, as a way for the so-called GoodPeople™ to reveal their despotic side and to cast their delusional dream of enforced compliance for all as being the utter craziness that it actually is, this is a wonderful sign!

The first time round, I found the true believers' antics, like walking while swinging 6-foot sticks to force others to keep their distance, so twistedly amusing. The more insane these maniacs behave, the less that any sane person would want to be identified with them or their tactics. Their fervent belief that their unquestionably "good" intentions excuse whatever bad behavior they're inflicting is wearing awfully thin at the moment. Throwing cans of soup on original Van Gogh's or causing traffic jams in deadly desert heat or starting Canadian forest fires (all because of their "good" intentions about saving the environment) have woken a lot of people up to the woke's complete and total lack of good intention or integrity. Burning small business districts to promote racial equality was another obviously hypocritical posture assumed by these perpetually virtue-signaling activists. If they keep it up, every sane person alive will easily be able to figure out who the angriest, most dangerous and most out-of-control folks actually are.

We just need a few more egregious mask lunatics to absolutely put an end to their whole fantasy of lockdown 2.0 ever happening. I, for one, am definitely betting that the lunatics will be able to over-deliver on this self-goal — after all, they’ve been preening and practicing for this moment their entire lives.

There are a fair number of sites that are reporting on the possibilities of mask and vaccine mandates returning, it isn't just here. It could be mostly fearmongering or alarmism, of course.

ZENDRIE SMITH: Zendrie Smith. I'm a physical therapist, pediatric physical therapist. I have used deep breathing exercises as a standard protocol for starting every physical therapy session during my entire career. But things have changed. My patients' inhalations used to be free to capture every molecule of oxygen in the air. Now it is restricted to the oxygen that is able to penetrate a mask. The child ends up rebreathing their own exhaust. The human body reads this as a signal that there is a problem. The triggers the immune system to overreact. Our children who are already at risk for allergies are faced with even greater risk.

School Board members, masking children throughout the school day has never been done in history. This is an experiment. Developing bodies have never been submitted to this. We do not know what the long term outcome is. We have to protect our children.

I invite you to give the parents the freedom of choice of whether to mask their children or not. Most of us will prefer to let our children breathe and play freely. Covid has not been proven to be transmittable in the asymptomatic person. I do advise that everybody finds the doctor that treat covid in 5 days with the right medication. They are local to us. If you need a doctor please feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Bofur, it would appear that your people are more resilient than the hapless serfs of T’rono. Here I cannot miss seeing a few masked faces every time I go shopping or go on a stroll in the neighbourhood, including those who are walking alone or driving alone in a car. Last week I saw a group of five teens ambling down the street, one of them sporting a mask. Medical clinics and doctor’s offices are again requiring patients to be masked cuz, you know, cases.

I certainly hope that Lockdown 2.0 does not happen, but I am not confident that our insane tormentors will not give it a shot. So, to be on the safe side, I’d rather we cultivate the ‘vibe’ that a wolverine would give if a fool decided to come by and put it into a cage: Don’t. Even. Think. Of. It.

While I can't speak either way to mandates and passports being renewed, I have definitely noticed an increase in folks wearing masks out and about in the world. It started slowly ramping up a couple of weeks ago. It is still a minority of folks though.

I'd be more inclined to believe them if they hadn't spent a good portion of 2020 insisting mask mandates would never happen.

(Anonymous) 2023-08-31 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like you're fortunate to be in a relatively sane place.

I was recently traveling with a stop in Washington DC's Dulles Airport and saw many masked people, including, sadly, some masked children. Still, fortunately, the masked were clearly a small minority. Maybe 1 in 40-50.

In my neck of the skycrapers, very urban PMC, I think the appetite for cooties theater is gone. There always was some pushback, and I would expect it will be much be stronger now, against any mandates, testing, tracing, masks & etc. So I'm optimistic that this isn't going to become a major issue again-- just some noise burbling up here and there, like nutty Rutgers or kookoo Lionsgate, all this sort of thing getting heavy pushback.

However, what keeps me from singing the victory song as we head into autumn 2023 is that I thought this in the fall of 2021, too, and then look what happened. By December 2021, where I am, cooties theater had descended once again in full force. Everyone canceled everything, and in my family over the jabs compliance there was such an absurd drama, it would make for 13 episodes of a total crap soap opera. People I had thought sane, decent, and sensible truly lost their minds, obsessing over testing and one even took to wearing a mask to sleep in her own bed.

But anyway, things are different than they were in the fall of 2021. More people are sick, and more people have woken up.

Here is my personal operating assumption for how things are shifting:

Group One is going to go on believing that they did the right and good thing to get all the jabs, believing that it would have been so much worse otherwise, and all the deaths following the jabs were just coincidence. They also go on believing that jab injuries are very rare, but that it's totally common to suffer heart damage, neurological issues, embolisms, fatigue, headaches, weird allergies, etc as a consequence of a covid infection (and of course they've all had covid, and several times). They will therefore ascede to masking and other rules, should they be imposed, and an important minority of this group will blame "anti-vaxxers" (which is anybody and everybody who for whatever reason didn't want the injections, but especially the people in Flyover Land who, OMG, voted for the Bad Orange Man). There will be some ugly episodes and flaming drama on Twitter!! And these people, I mean the group that thought they did the right thing to comply, and that jab deaths and injuries are rare, they are going to just go on complying, getting their injections, and also taking loads of pharmaceuticals for all their many ailments. And therefore I expect (very sadly) that maybe half of them them will be gone from this earth in, oh, I suppose, about 5 years or less. Some of them may hang on for a good while longer than that, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Group Two took one or two or maybe even three jabs, but they've figured it out that it's not a good idea to go on jabbing, the cooties show is cockamamie shale, so they're not taking more, and many are aggressively seeking to heal themselves and clear the spike. They may be with us for many years, and possibly most of them (I hope) for their normal expected lifespans. They do not trust the health authorities as they once did and they will resist mandates, masking & etc.

Group Three figured out it was a con early on and didn't take jabs.

So in just a few more years, I expect that we'll be living with mainly Groups Two and Three-- not a constituency for cooties theater.

masking

(Anonymous) 2023-08-31 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
they will do it again in my area in a heartbeat.

I still see individuals who mask, I saw someone from my neighborhood, ran into him outside at the lumber yard, who put on his mask as he left his truck to be outside in the lumberyard talking to the employee.

Last weekend, Iwas asked, I am a notary, and a neighbor around the corner I dont know called and came by for a notary service, outside on my deck, and the first thing the couple asked me was if I wanted them to mask up. Outside on my deck, I had the notary station set up on a patio table on the deck

And if they get whipped up again, I think they will be worse, even more likely to insist that it is the fault of the dirty un-vaxxed, even more likely to lash out in their fear and desire for control , they feel they can control this and doing the right things will make the illness and even more to teh point their fear go away

I live in the greater SanFrancisco Bay area

- Atmospheric River

On the bright side, things are lining up all of a sudden, in the next 2 or 3 weeks projects I couldnt find workers for on the house and rebuilding the bar ( CZU lightning fire 3 years ago) are moving, getting done all at once. So, sounds good to me, get a few things buttoned up before fall craziness happens

Mercola - Ivermectin use in Peru gave a 74% reduction in COVID excess deaths

[personal profile] fredsmith11 2023-08-31 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Article there for ~40 hrs: https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/08/31/ivermectin-worked-peer-reviewed-study-proves-it.aspx?

Nb. Mike Adams raves about Ivermectin and has tested the animal paste version on himself.

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
A preprint paper showing ivermectin’s effectiveness against COVID-19 in Peru convinced a group of doctors that widespread ivermectin distribution could end the pandemic in October 2020

Because the paper wasn’t yet peer-reviewed, it was brushed off; ivermectin for COVID-19 was vilified, as were those who dared to prescribe it

Now, the study has been peer-reviewed and published in Cureus, vindicating ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19

Ivermectin generated a 74% reduction in COVID-19 excess deaths in the 10 Peru states where it was used most intensively

There was a 14-fold reduction in nationwide excess deaths when ivermectin was readily available and then a 13-fold increase in excess deaths in the two months after ivermectin use was restricted

How Does Ivermectin Work Against COVID?
Ivermectin binds to SARS-CoV-2’s spike protein, limiting the virus’ morbidity and infectivity. The drug, while best known for its antiparasitic effects, also has demonstrated antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. An in vitro study demonstrated that a single treatment with ivermectin effectively reduced viral load 5,000 times in 48 hours in cell culture.

Studies have shown that ivermectin helps to lower the viral load by inhibiting replication. A single dose of ivermectin can kill 99.8% of the virus within 48 hours. A meta-analysis in the American Journal of Therapeutics also showed the drug reduced infection by an average of 86% when used preventively.

Ivermectin has also been shown to speed recovery, in part by inhibiting inflammation and protecting against organ damage. This pathway also lowers the risk of hospitalization and death. Meta analyses have shown an average reduction in mortality that ranges from 75% to 83%.

>>> It’s worth noting, too, that ivermectin has notable anti-tumor effects, which include inhibiting proliferation, metastasis and angiogenic activity in cancer cells. It appears to inhibit tumor cells by regulating multiple signaling pathways, which researchers explained in the Pharmacological Research journal, "suggests that ivermectin may be an anticancer drug with great potential."

I think there are other issues here too.

My daughter will be 14 next november 2023. She was the last one wearing a mask at school once the mandate had gone.

She only stopped wearing it at school once the teacher observed that, and asked her why.

We already know, and we asked her about the reason.

Obviously, it was not the mandates, neither a health issue. That was pretty clear for her.

She simply wanted the anonimity the diaper gaves to her, and so she explain that to us.

In fact, our principal problem (specially my wife and our daughter) is their radical introversion (98 - 100% in the Myers Briggs test), so that fits with she having difficulties to make friends.

Luckily, after about 6 months, she finally have some friends, but still doesn't want to go out, even for an icecream.

This is only one of the problems in this game. The amount of problems that caused to teenagers, specially in the 14 - 20 years age, due the lack of proper social relation when it is most necessary for their personal growth.

This damage may be hard to reverse.

Re: Moving into Autumn

(Anonymous) 2023-08-31 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not dismissing Rintrah's or Geert's concerns about the combination of "vaccines" and the labspawn, or their concerns about mutations and damaged immune systems etc., but I do think we can put at least some of these ideas to the test.

My understanding is that Geert predicted that there would be a wave of deadly virus and death right about now, but there's no mass death - at least not yet.

Now, Geert wrote a book about how his predicted outcome is inescapable, and without going into the details of Geert's argument (which I'm not equipped to do) it seems fair to suggest that Geert has staked his picket pin (and Rintrah by way of extension) on mass death in the near term.

If they're right, well, then they're right; however, if we do escape the 'inescapable' mass death scenario, then perhaps rather than let them shift their pin further into the future, we can instead roll on over their bodies and go on our way?

Otherwise, we may suffer from a phenomenon that can happen when prophesy fails to happen, which is that some people give up the belief, but others double-down and 'revise' their thinking/beliefs to support a new prophesized date for the 'inescapable' disaster.

Rinse and repeat ad-nauseum.

So, if we give it another month, maybe two, and nothing happens, do you think we will all let it go, or do you think at least some of us will double-down forevermore?

We're only human after all, subject to the same strengths and weaknesses of other humans.

" I mean we never used to say, stay away from work until you test negative from the flu? So why COVID?"

It's called a psyop i.e. a mass media propaganda attack, which can unfortunately be fatal as recent times have shown.

The following is not medical advice and consult your doctor before any treatment.

If you're unvaxxed, long or bad COVID implies some combination of a suppressed immune system and a high toxic load. Having said that, catching flu, COVID, a cold or whatever every year or two is fairly normal. Common suggestions to help are:

- Review and clean up your food, environment, personal care products etc
- If you're taking any of Big Pharma's fine offerings, do you REALLY need them?
- High dose vitamin D and C (liposomal vit C works well)
- Ivermectin
- Chlorine dioxide
- Fresh air and sunlight
- Physical fitness - if you don't have it, get it
- Reduced EMF exposure << becoming more important

I'd have to agree with you to some degree. It may be different in the US, but here in my part of the UK masks and covid are a thing of the past (I might see one masker a week, and they are usually a poor little old lady in her 80s), nobody under 65 is even allowed a vaccine now (I think the GOV has finally figured out where the excess deaths is coming from but won't/can't admit it). Most of the people I know who took the Vexx wouldn't go near another one now as they have finally realised that every time they take it they get very ill and then catch covid within a matter of weeks. You can fool some of the people all of the time, and you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Court Cases Dropping Like Flies

(Anonymous) 2023-08-31 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I am delighted to report that yet another court case against freedom fighters in Canada has been dropped. This time it was charges against Chris Scott, (in)famous owner of the Whistle Stop Café in Alberta who garnered passionate support from freedom-lovers and the ire of law enforcement for steadfastly refusing to close his business during the Cooties lockdown mandates in 2021. The decision came after the Crown attorney invited the ruling after a recent court decision finding the orders were invalid because they were imposed in a way breaching Alberta’s Public Health Act. The courtroom, which was packed with Scott’s supporters, erupted in jubilant cheering and clapping in response. It was a good day! https://www.westernstandard.news/news/red-deer-judge-acquits-whistle-stops-chris-scott-for-violating-covid-restrictions/article_0c3b4438-45e8-11ee-8f48-7b674aa2275c.html
