Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 79

They LiedAs we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselessness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Time to spend more time on inner work

[personal profile] nightwatchwaits 2023-02-07 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Dear John and all who have contributed to these Covid related forums.

I have rarely commented, but have read most of the entries since these started 79 weeks ago. They have been a great help to me through lonely and anxious times.

While excellent, I find this forum takes a fair amount of time to read and I now sense I need to redirect that time towards doing inner work. I feel it important to say thank you for all involved this last year and a half or so.

I will continue to pray for all those on Tunesmith's weekly prayer lists and JMG posts and maybe new books.

With love and the greatest of prayers for all your journeys ahead.

a note for our resident transcriber; perhaps she knows this already, but i've only just discovered that it's possible to get a complete auto-transcription of any video on youtube that is close-captioned enabled. next to the "like" thumbs up symbol, there are 3 dots; if you click there, one of the options is to download a complete transcript of the video. even better than watching at double speed, i've found.

Looking Back on Covid

[personal profile] rcastle 2023-02-07 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Looking back on Covid.

Last year on February 3 my 15 year old grand daughter came down with Covid. It was severe enough it put her in bed for two days. The next day, February 4, my son came down with Covid, and it put him in bed for more days.

The Covid did not affect my wife and I so quickly, and we thought we had escaped. But on February 13 my wife came down with Covid, and it put her in bed for 3 or 4 days. And finally on February 20, I came down with Covid, it more or less made me feel as bad as the average cold. It did not put me in bed, I did not feel like being in bed, and except for the annoyance of not being 100% did not interfere with my life.

I note here that all of us were living together in less than 700 square foot apartment, with one bathroom. It was impossible not to come in contact with the infected persons. I assume my daughter and son came in contact first as they were going out on a daily basis, and my wife and I, avoiding Covid were not.

It took roughly ten days for my wife to come down with the Covid, after the Covid first appeared in my granddaughter. It took seventeen days for me to come down with the Covid after the Covid first appeared in my grand daughter. I imagine in all of these cases we were infected for at least a few days, perhaps even a week to ten days before we showed symptoms. I personally did not show any symptoms for 17 days after becoming aware of my first contact.

This suggests to me that any quarantine, in order to be effective would have had to be for at least 20 days, and a thirty day quarantine seems more likely to be necessary, if quarantines can be effective at all. Most people flying into a country and testing positive had to quarantine for about 10 days, in the countries I am aware of. It appears to me ten days would not be sufficient to stop or even hinder the spread.

I am living in Spain. My son’s wife died 7 years ago. Therefore my son and his daughter were visiting us alone. They stayed for months because I was ill, and my son thought I was dying. I had an ongoing hip infection for about 11 months that I could not eradicate with antibiotics. But strangely, since I was obviously immune compromised, the Covid did not particularly bother me. It seems different types of infections prefer one person over another.

I should also mention my grand daughter completely bounced back from the infection in two or three days. She couldn’t stand being confined. I used to take her out at night for walks, because her father couldn’t go anywhere with her, and she was probably still contagious.

It took my wife about 10 days to return to about 70% after being infected. It also took my son about ten days to get to 70%. I never was worse than 70%, but it took about ten days for me to get back to what was 100% for me at that time.

None of us were or are vaccinated.

Interesting twitter thread (5) by Will Schryver

As a computer programmer of over 35 years, my intensive research into these mRNA vaccines has led me to view the matter in similar terms -- but with a programmer's perspective that suggests potential caveats.

You mean apart from the 1000+ people dying each day, the avalanche of propaganda, the attempt to replace humans with AI, and the push for a war in Ukraine that the West cannot win?

To echo the words of the late Baudrillard, "Covid did not happen." By this, I don't mean that there was no such virus, but that the entirety of our culture's understanding of it is mediated. The direct experience of it is totally lost in all the symbolic chatter flying every which way throughout the culture. The possibility of a true picture of it was never possible. We are lost in an epistemic fog whose vapor we cannot see through.

It's things like the covid phenomenon that convince me that the answer to Fermat's Paradox is inevitable self destruction. Humanity is a toddler lost in a factory

Another datapoint from Mercola

[personal profile] fredsmith11 2023-02-07 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Article there for ~48 hours: https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/02/07/more-than-217000-americans-killed-by-covid-jab.aspx?

Headline is "More Than 217,000 Americans Killed by the COVID Jab" but that's to Dec 2021, so presumably at least double that by now.

At this stage I'm accustomed to seeing different figures from different people. I'm fairly sure Mercola himself has put out other articles to this one with different data on COVID jab deaths and injuries and the figures in this particular article look low-ish to me.

Anyway, it's enough for me to know the jabs are toxic and potentially deadly and you're playing a game of Russian roulette if you take them. The nasty issue going forward is that the mRNA tech is percolating into many (most?) other vaxxes. Doesn't effect me though, because I don't intend to take any jabs of any type in the time I have left.

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
According to a December 2021 survey of 2,840 Americans, between 217,330 and 332,608 people died from the COVID jabs in 2021

Survey results also show that people who got the jab were more likely to know someone who experienced a health problem from COVID-19 infection, whereas those who knew someone who experienced a health problem after getting the jab were less likely to be jabbed

Of the respondents, 34% knew one or more people who had experienced a significant health problem due to the COVID-19 illness, and 22% knew one or more people who had been injured by the shot

51% of the survey respondents had been jabbed. Of those, 13% reported experiencing a “serious” health problem post-jab. Compare that to Pfizer’s six-month safety analysis, which claimed only 1.2% of trial participants experienced a serious adverse event

In December 2022, Rasmussen Reports polled 1,000 Americans. In this poll, 34% reported experiencing minor side effects from the jab and 7% reported major side effects

Excerpt:

Were COVID-19 an infection with an extremely high mortality rate, perhaps high rates of death from a vaccine would be acceptable. But COVID-19 has an exceptionally low mortality rate, on par with or lower than influenza, hence the risk associated with the COVID jabs ought to be equally low.

The global cost of life from these vaccines is on the order of 10 to 12 million people. ~ Steve Kirsch [Comment: Steve's nos always look high, but UN data shows global excess deaths of ~25M in 2020-2022, so who knows?]

As it stands, the risks of the shots are very high, while Pfizer's own trial data, with more than 40,000 participants, show they offer no benefit in terms of your risk of hospitalization and/or death. The absolute risk reduction is so minute as to be inconsequential.

Data Points -- Who is demanding vaxes now...and no failing allowed!

(Anonymous) 2023-02-07 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
A close relative took the vax (J&J) in 2021 because they are at the start of their career and in the very Blue, very PC area where we live, it was no vax, no job. My relative installs and maintains audio/visual equipment. This past week my relative was asked to fly a thousand or so miles to a city in the Midwest to do a minor repair in a conference room. Apparently, a major University funds the organization with the broken conference room and the major University refused to allow an unvaxxed person in the conference room to repair it. They couldn't find a vaxxed person in the Midwest to do this rather trivial repair. So they had to fly someone in.

Also, I just heard from a government source that the word "failure" is no longer allowed. You can't fail in the government apparently; you can only "defer success."

Thank you. I am aware of that. You can read about my process in more detail, and why I do not use AI, at this link:
https://transcriberb.dreamwidth.org/9102.html

Since I'm human I surely do make the occasional error, however I believe my transcripts are far more accurate than the machine'-generated ones. Also, when I do not understand something, I say so, rather than make a wild guess as the AI does.

This is good for viewers to know, that you can get a a complete auto-transcription of any video on youtube that is close-captioned enabled. Again, my thanks.

This suggests to me that any quarantine, in order to be effective would have had to be for at least 20 days, and a thirty day quarantine seems more likely to be necessary,

The Chinese lockdowns, the toughest in the world, have proven definitively that quarantine does not work for this virus.

Re: programmer's perspective

[personal profile] dendroica 2023-02-07 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"As a computer programmer of over 35 years, my intensive research into these mRNA vaccines has led me to view the matter in similar terms -- but with a programmer's perspective that suggests potential caveats. Permit me to explain:"

"The human immune system – our "native" environment – routinely passes "instruction sets" to cells in order to address a detected event, such as an "invader" of exogenous origin. We have come to understand a lot of what goes on in this respect, BUT NOT ALL."

"These mRNA vaccines reflect a partial understanding of how to induce certain reactions in our cells – but we are not yet certain that the "instruction set" we are introducing is accounting for ALL of the parameters expected."

"Nor is there logic embedded in these artificially introduced instruction sets to detect and react to "error conditions" because of our failure to account for all of the expected parameters."

"Thus, just as a junior programmer, working to modify a long-existing program, lacks the understanding to account for all the expected instructions and potential error conditions, he is apt to achieve a primary objective while inadvertently causing unforeseen complications."

That's a good way of looking at it...

Primary objective: produce antibodies against spike protein
Tested: thoroughly Verdict: success

Secondary objective: protect against covid infection and death
Tested: insufficient Verdict: possible short-term success, known medium-term failure, probable long-term harm (i.e. negative efficacy)

Unforeseen complications: myocarditis, infertility, autoimmunity, impaired immunity, sudden death, etc. etc.
Tested: little to none Verdict: failure

Continuing Weirdness on Denman Island

(Anonymous) 2023-02-08 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Hi Everyone,
One of our friends is an avid poker player. When the plague thingy started, the two poker groups he played with shut down. Later, one restarted but only for the vexed. Just this week, he was phoned by a poker group that is starting in the Community Hall. They invited him to join and then asked if he was vexed. He said, "No." and the person said he could not attend.

We all thought this a bit strange as all persons can now use the Community Hall and it is pretty widely understood that the vexes don't stop people from catching and spreading the 19.

So, we are starting a vex-free poker group. Our little island is still pretty seriously divided with the vexed on one side trying to keep the vex-free people out. But they must know this is irrational. Very odd behaviour even for Denman.

Will the Biden administration end the covid emergency in May? And whenever they do it, what do you think the most committed to covid hysteria will do then? Will the mandates for vaccinations and masks by organizations and venues then be illegal? From what I am reading, those will still be allowed.

(Anonymous) 2023-02-08 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Noted on both counts. I've posted many of the AI links that started the threads. I'll hold off.

A bit of explanation as to why I've posted about AI in the past. There are two connections to covid that seem to intersect off and on over time, in strange tangents.

The first is that the AI tools in the past year have leapt forward in ways that make it much easier to achieve what is happening in this week's meme. There has been a lot of lying going on, and now video, audio, text and image evidence is highly suspect from here on out. Not that it wasn't suspect before, but the scale potential has changed. It's like giving the stasi access to modern tools. The change in output quantity has a quality. The brouhaha around Damar is the most recent example. Before, if power centers wanted to lie through media, they had to hire all kinds of creatives. This limited the total output of lies possible. In that previous world, surely everything wasn't a lie. It just took too much time and money to make everything a lie. Some of it had to be true(ish). Now, or soon, they just have to type direction into a text prompt. Out comes a Damar video. I'm guessing as the damage to people's bodies moves into common knowledge, the discussion will be highly massaged and controlled by these AI tools. At least until it finally spills off of the screens and into the streets. Generally, people understand the power and potential of AI tools about as much as they understand magic. Understanding the capabilities of the tools arrayed against the masses in the information battle feels useful, and the capabilities are changing rapidly right now. I fully expect powerful forces to burn all trust in the system down, using any tools at hand, and to burn the system down itself, before they eventually concede.

Secondly, and somewhat darker, I've noticed a decidedly demonic flair to what's trying to come through. I don't think I'm seeing what I want there; I'm not inventing it in my mind. I think it's real. From a 'demonic hypothesis' point of view, it's worth considering how we now tend get the bulk of our information. A 'medium is the message' sort of thing. If AI is increasingly the foundational basis for how the internet is managed and run, and if it's got a demonic bent to it, flavoring the information passing through, it has felt worth exploring.

Anyway, that's why I've pulled them in, but I'll gladly respect the request and cool it on those links.

He recently made a video mea culpa saying that he had "lost" and the unvaxxed had "won" because he claims to have sustained an MRNA vax injury. Even more recently, he has been caught hinting that his mea culpa was a prank. Moral of the story: don't believe anything said by Scott Adams.
