Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 79
As we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselessness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries. So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:
1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

First, I'd like to draw a line under the AI thread at this point. It's strayed very, very far from the subject of this open post, which is (ahem) Covid and the world's various (mostly dysfunctional) responses to it.
Second, once again we're getting a flurry of people either ignoring or challenging point #2 in the post, and trying to drag the conversation over into conspiracy-culture territory. There are thousands of sites online where that sort of thing can be freely discussed; I don't think it's too much to ask that this one site focus on different conversations.

(Anonymous) 2023-02-08 12:09 am (UTC)(link)A bit of explanation as to why I've posted about AI in the past. There are two connections to covid that seem to intersect off and on over time, in strange tangents.
The first is that the AI tools in the past year have leapt forward in ways that make it much easier to achieve what is happening in this week's meme. There has been a lot of lying going on, and now video, audio, text and image evidence is highly suspect from here on out. Not that it wasn't suspect before, but the scale potential has changed. It's like giving the stasi access to modern tools. The change in output quantity has a quality. The brouhaha around Damar is the most recent example. Before, if power centers wanted to lie through media, they had to hire all kinds of creatives. This limited the total output of lies possible. In that previous world, surely everything wasn't a lie. It just took too much time and money to make everything a lie. Some of it had to be true(ish). Now, or soon, they just have to type direction into a text prompt. Out comes a Damar video. I'm guessing as the damage to people's bodies moves into common knowledge, the discussion will be highly massaged and controlled by these AI tools. At least until it finally spills off of the screens and into the streets. Generally, people understand the power and potential of AI tools about as much as they understand magic. Understanding the capabilities of the tools arrayed against the masses in the information battle feels useful, and the capabilities are changing rapidly right now. I fully expect powerful forces to burn all trust in the system down, using any tools at hand, and to burn the system down itself, before they eventually concede.
Secondly, and somewhat darker, I've noticed a decidedly demonic flair to what's trying to come through. I don't think I'm seeing what I want there; I'm not inventing it in my mind. I think it's real. From a 'demonic hypothesis' point of view, it's worth considering how we now tend get the bulk of our information. A 'medium is the message' sort of thing. If AI is increasingly the foundational basis for how the internet is managed and run, and if it's got a demonic bent to it, flavoring the information passing through, it has felt worth exploring.
Anyway, that's why I've pulled them in, but I'll gladly respect the request and cool it on those links.

(Anonymous) 2023-02-08 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)In my childhood everyone knew that TV advertising was manipulative, and sometimes an independent-minded teacher would devote a lesson to the analysis of an advertisement, showing the students how the appeal was designed to bypass their logic, or exploit their herd instincts, or bamboozle them with ambiguously-worded statistics. I can't say how much good these lessons did, but they were a healthy response to a problem.
What response can be made now, when the manipulation is more powerful and pervasive? Short of withdrawing from tainted media, that is, and trying to carve out a separate space for discourse and entertainment. For the most recent generation, whose connections to the natural world and to the books of the past have both been broken, it's hard to see a way. Perhaps a way is being created by those who have struggled to preserve their humanity through the last three years.
About your second point I'm not qualified to comment, but if true it, too, is chilling.

Speaking of covid and dysfunctional responses, such as censorship. I'd like to point to today's post at attorney Jeff Childers' Substack on Missouri v. Biden. Childers writes: "This will probably make someone’s head explode, but Missouri v. Biden is more important than Brown v. Board of Education. It’s more important than Plessy v. Ferguson or Washington v. Davis." To those readers unfamiliar with US legal history, what he's saying is, this is one of if not the most important legal cases in US history. And I would agree.
Childers:
"The States of Missouri and Louisiana filed the case on May 5th, 2022. At the time, the states were represented by Solicitors General Eric Schmitt and Jeff Landry, respectively. I like to call it, “Show Me versus Shut Up!”
Although the list of defendants subsequently expanded — greatly expanded — here’s the original much shorter list from the first complaint. All these folks were sued in their official capacities: Joe Biden, Jen Psaki, Vivek Murthy, Xavier Bacerra, the Department of HHS, Anthony Fauci, NIAID, CDC, Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security, Jen Easterly, the CISA, and Nina Jankowicz.
You probably recognize all of those names except maybe CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency), Jen Easterly (Director of CISA), and Nina Jankowicz (the singing, short-term director of the DHS’ Disinformation Governance Board, who previously worked for Ukraine’s puppet-president Zelenskyy, and I am not making that up).
🔥 To give you some flavor, here’s the very first paragraph from the 84-page Missouri complaint:
In 1783, George Washington warned that if “the Freedom of Speech may be taken away,” then “dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep, to the Slaughter.” George Washington, Address to the Officers of the Army (March 15, 1783). The freedom of speech in the United States now faces one of its greatest assaults by federal government officials in the Nation’s history.
Old George wasn’t wrong, either. Just look at what’s happened over the last three years. Sheep to the Slaughter, indeed.
While I have often seen surgical hyperbole used in lawsuits before, I don’t think Missouri v. Biden’s first paragraph is overstating the case. Future generations will study this case, considering it a critical turning point in the Nation’s history, whatever the outcome.
The lawsuit’s subject is how the government violated Americans’ First Amendment rights by censoring people during the pandemic. It’s that simple. Or, it SHOULD BE that simple. The plaintiffs argue that the government both DIRECTLY censored Americans and especially, INDIRECTLY censored them through bullying, bribing, hectoring, nagging, and setting up one-way “partnerships” with big tech companies like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
The case has been running for nine months now and as of this morning, there are 184 entries on the docket. No trial date has been set. In my experience, that’s about middling docket activity for a lawsuit with so many parties. So far, almost all the action in the case has been over discovery, both paper discovery and oral depositions, which the plaintiffs have been enthusiastically pursuing with passion and verve.
Meanwhile, the government has been doing everything that IT can to obstruct, delay, and obfuscate. It has objected to nearly every discovery request, requiring a plethora of hearings and rulings, and the case has even been to the Supreme Court — more than once! — over discovery disputes.
Most recently, the Supreme Court had to weigh in on whether the plaintiffs would be allowed to take Jen Psaki’s deposition AT ALL. The government argued she is too important and too busy for deposition, even though she doesn’t work there anymore. Most commenters missed how unique was the Supreme Court’s involvement in this argument. Normally, even district court judges consider discovery disputes too pedestrian to clog up their docket, and often assign those kinds of arguments to lower-status clerical judges called magistrates.
Not this time.
The notion of the Supreme Court adjudicating garden-variety discovery disputes is insanely wild. I’m not saying it’s never happened, but it’s a unicorn."

MY COMMENT: The funny thing is, the night before, I had banged out a draft of a transcript of one of a batch of banned and shadow-banned videos I found from 2021. And it could not have been more apt. I'm not shilling for Peggy Hall, by the way, I don't know her and I don't share her religious beliefs, however I admire and appreciate her activism for freedom and I consider this an historically important video.

This video right here, which I can't play now on YouTube, is the one that got me kicked off YouTube because I talk about Johnson & Johnson. Not, not the wax, remember, when I was growing up it was Johnson & Johnson wax, well now they're making needles. Alright? It's all about their document and what's on their website and what's on the FDA website and I showed the actual letter from the FDA and this got me banned from YouTube. Alright? So, ah, it's really ridiculous, it's absolutely ridiculous.
And I want you to watch this video, Wall Street Journal is Wrong: There is No Approved— because the Wall Street Journal said that it was approved, and it's not. And I'll just leave it there so I don't get another strike.
So. What do you think? You like this? Are you good with this? I'm not good with this. I am so not good with this. I have already been walking on eggshells for months because they play this game of giving you a strike and then you can't upload content. So now for 2 weeks on my main channel, and I upload like three videos a day, aright? It's not like I upload once a week like some other YouTubers, alright? I give you constant information that I research on my own, I don't have a staff of people researching things and giving me a script to read, like some people do. I'll just leave it at that. And, um, I do it all on my own because I love it and because I care about freedom. Alright? I'm not getting on a plane to fly to Hawaii to go to speak at a rally for freedom. I'll just let you put two and two together on that. So I'm unable to bring you the content on YouTube like I normally do. Even on my backup channel which also has a strike against it. And it doesn't matter about the strikes, they can take down your channel at any time.
And people are like, Peggy, why are you on YouTube?! Well, ask the 72— let's see [she consults a piece of paper] I keep track, ask the 74,658 people why they're on YouTube, of my subscribers.
I'm there for them. I keep asking them to come over to my other platforms, right? People just are not on Bitchute and Brighteon and Bradnewtube. They're just not there. So if I want to get my message out, YouTube is still the largest platform for that. So I want to be on YouTube. I've been [makes air quotes with fingers] guiding, I mean, following their [again makes air quotes with fingers] guidelines and still get the strike.
So until you 74,658 people get on over to my backup channel, and if even just a fraction of you got over to the peggyhall.tv, I would be able to continue to do this work. So I need your help. I need you to get onto the platform. You can see the videos that I'm talking about.
And I want you to watch those videos. There are two of them. One YouTube took down and the other had a similar topic so I removed it so I would not have my channel taken down altogether. And who knows, they can go back months ago and look at content, and I probably will start taking all that content down off of YouTube. And it will be up, you know, briefly. And this was not even 24 hours. This just got up at 3 o'clock and it was down like at 4 o'clock. So they hit it exactly and immediately.
And I'm reading from the FDA website. I'm reading from Johnson & Johnson website. I'm reading the document of Johnson & Johnson that people get when they're about to take the needle. And that was misinformation!
