Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 66

Smudge for the winAs we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religious, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

I wish I could find it again but maybe 4 years ago I came upon a website that argued in some detail that QR codes are actually demonic. Ha! Only on this forum would I say such a thing. But seriously, I think they are demonic.

Here's a report on QR code use from Japan:

I've thought this for some time and I refuse to use them. I think they're demonic sigils. I don't know what they say but that right there is the problem.

When next I see one on a phone pole, I will get out my Sharpie and do a little editing.

Hmmmm, tempting. But there are surveillance cameras everywhere now. Perhaps the oopsie factor can be employed...

Thank you for this link.
QR codes are something you have to have a so-called "smartphone" in order to use. So I guess those of us in Japan without smartphones can go weewee out back of the store?
Arthur Firstenberg has just set up a pledge for people not wanting to take part in this outrage: https://cellphonetaskforce.org/no-cell-phone-campaign-launched-worldwide/ I recommend it as a place to start, but you might have other good ideas for resisting this.

If you plan on exiting Japan and re-entering you will need a smart phone. Various aps for contact / tracing, especially if, like me, you are unjabbinated.

Actually, I contacted the government agency overseeing this and told them I did not have a smartphone for health reasons. They said I would have to undertake some kind of procedures ahead of time, but I could still enter Japan without a smartphone. However, I was concerned about quarantining upon return, if they deemed it necessary. When I asked whether they would have quarantine facilities without Wi-Fi, they just gave me the brush off. Since I have two other strikes against me (unjabbinated like you, and pro-Russia), I'd better sit still for a while until we can get some recognition as disabled.
Meanwhile, Japan's leading activist for EHS and MCS human rights has been forced to flee her home in Sapporo. The strategy she has promoted is "shelter in place," since Japan lacks places to flee. Her house was well shielded, but the noise from construction of a campground next to her house was too much on top of the increasing electromagnetic burden we are all dealing with.

Good for him. I continue to vigorously resist getting a smart phone and intend to keep doing so for life. (I have a flip phone for essential use only that does not run all these apps etc.) There are a few restaurants in this area that no longer provide paper menus AT ALL. You are supposed to pull up the menu on your smart phone. "Well, I guess I won't have anything then, since you obviously don't want my business. No problem." If enough people stand up to them, maybe they'll get the idea.

I'm happy to report that such nonsense has not made it to the part of Japan where I live. Frankly, if I was asked to do something like that at a store, it would be the last time I ever set foot in that store. There are still plenty of shops that want my business and don't ask me to jump through a bunch of hoops to give it to them.

I have a smartphone, but it's so old it doesn't automatically read QR codes. I have an app that's supposed to let it, but it just...doesn't always work. I can't imagine I'm the only one. -Ochre Shabby Sea Serpent

Back in the Era Where Things Worked, this would've been solved with a pay toilet. Here's a coin slot, do yuor business. Now you have to have at least 3 extra steps and whole lot of gratuitous unstable technology to accomplish the same thing.

It's a dystopian world, but it's a very fragile dystopian world they're building.

A very important point. One of the less obvious, but more important, of many reasons to hate automatic toilets (don't get me started) and sinks is that while the genuine articles are mechanical and work in the dark as long as there is water pressure, the automatic versions require electricity and will not work in a blackout. If on top of that you need to do something with a QR code to get in, does that not imply that some website must be functional, and if the relevant chunk of the internet or local cell service has an outage for any reason, then it's "No Poop for You"?

To say nothing of the fact that with QR codes, they are tracking who uses which public restrooms and how often. Use them "too often" and might you be accused of using drugs or other unapproved reasons to be alone in a small space?

One of the prime ways to control people is to control their access to the facilities.

Of course then they either stay home ... or go where nature directs them.
