Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 65

As we proceed through the second year of these open posts, it's pretty clear that the official narrative is cracking as the toll of deaths and injuries from the Covid vaccines rises steadily and the vaccines themselves demonstrate their total uselesness at preventing Covid infection or transmission. It's still important to keep watch over the mis-, mal- and nonfeasance of our self-proclaimed health gruppenfuehrers, and the disastrous results of the Covid mania, but I think it's also time to begin thinking about what might be possible as the existing medical industry reels under the impact of its own self-inflicted injuries. 

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before: 

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here. 
 
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue. 

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religious, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules. 

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

It's just incredible to me how doggedly the BlueAnon types are sticking to the narrative even when many in the mainstream are admitting they got it wrong. Or just deleting their previous spiel and pretending they didn't say any of it or calling for 'amnesties'.

hmmm the fallout from this could be truly insane.

I have a feeling they will just keep entrenching, it’s already well past absurd.

These are people who get their news from approved sources. So do many people around them. Maybe the changes of twitter will make a difference, but I imagine a few articles about how twitter is now a hellhole may drive people to other comfortable places or maybe a new openly censored social network, a place where you can share and bask in the acceptence of sharing opinions with the rest.

It’s a slow process to have the tide turn. In many of their cases I think they literally receive zero information outside their bubble.

I was on a call with my partners parents today and they had just finished there 5th shot. Talking about distancing, staying away from the grandparents who just had covid (again).

There is no thought there, just that the news and whoever is around echo in the right way. I honeslty can’t picture a full on acceptance of the risk taken on for what was at best a short term benefit.

The move I think from those who allowed this is to just get people to move on to the next thing and the next thing and the next thing.

I remember when Obama was re-elected defeating Mitt Romney in 2012 by quite a large margin. There were newsreports about how many Republicans could not believe Romney lost because they only watched Foxnews and only saw Rasmussen polls. Back in those days that surprised me. Of course 4 years later it was the turn of the republicans to laugh at all the Dems who expected a walk-over for Hillary. We are living in our own bubbles for a while now and it is only getting worse so far. Perhaps the long descend and impending crisis are saving us from total disconnect from each other and the real world by crushing the virtual echo chambers many of us started to inhabit.

No signs of this stopping. Right now it's clear that the existing leaderships obfuscations are severely shaking it's foundations. But in certain circles I see the type of hope and change attitude with the Republicans.

Likely some areas will improve, but at the end of the day peoples lives are not going to get easier regardless of who is in charge. It's always the simpler role to be in the opposition, pointing out what's wrong then it is to try to say everything is fine, please re-elect me.

An anecdote: In 1944, a veteran Red Cross official made an informal inspection of Nazi death camps. Later, the senior BBC reporter John Simpson asked why they had not confronted the Auschwitz commandant, Rudolph Hoss, with the moral enormity of their actions. Who is the Them? People of all nationalities and factions got vaccinated. The large majority of our elders got vaccinated because they were at quite high risk from early covid strains. Does that alone put grandma into the category of bad people who deserve to die so you hope she gets lots more boosters? Or just MY grandma and not YOURS? If Fauci, Bourla et al. will go on getting quarterly boosters forever (delayed six weeks every time they get Omicron again) that's fine with me, they can be the lab rats and see what happens. Meanwhile, I take every opportunity to convince my vaxxed-and-boosted loved ones not to get any more boosters, and have had multiple successes.

I was informed, by certain entities, that there's a risk that certain parts of the United States might see mob violence against Neopagans and other practitioners of alternative religions during periods of extreme social stress -- for example, after a large-scale dieoff. As Carlo Ginzburg points out in his book Ecstasies: Deciphering the Witches' Sabbath, the witch burnings took off in the wake of the Black Death, for similar reasons.
