The semi-open posts I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments -- to understate the matter considerably! -- so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, as Canadian officials launch a campaign of reprisals against citizens who supported a peaceful protest against government policy, and the words "died suddenly" become the favorite media euphemism of our time, the floor is open for discussion.

Thank you to everyone who pushed back against Trudeau's invoking the Emergency Measures Act. Mr Dictator Wannabe has backed down!! YAY!!!

My only regret is that I was working up the event chart for the parliamentary ratification of the act. Seeing how things had shifted in the space of a week was fascinating and I was starting to get the hang of how to use aspects to see how things might change over the period the chart was in effect. Oh well.

Excuse me while I do a happy dance.

Please keep going with that Claire. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Thanks for your interest. I may still post it; I haven't lost interest in it. It's amazing to see how many clues I missed because I was convinced the Senate would just roll over. There is so much there for me to learn from.

Sorry for my ignorance, but does this mean the Trudeau administration will no longer be prosecuting truckers and freezing bank accounts and so on? What are the concrete ramifications of this?

As far as i know everything done with the Emergency Measures Act must be roll back.

Unless ratified by both the House of Commons and the Senate, the Emergency Measures Act is illegal and everything done in its name must be undone.

As far as i know its only bank account locked that have been done and now must be unlocked.

Sorry Cliff, I don't actually know. What is means to me is that Canada is no longer a police state and he can't perpetrate any more totalitarian violence. I don't think he will roll back what he's already done even if he is supposed to. Call me cynical but I don't expect our Fearful Leader to play by the rules.

I can't seem to find any information about wether the truckers will get what they originally wanted: the vaccine mandate cancelled ofr truckers. Does anyone know what the outcome of that is likely to be?

That would be a solid "no". At least, not until it is cancelled for everyone, by both federal governments, on both sides.

Lich and King are being threatened with 10 years in jail, and denied bail. Looks like a set-up, because Dichter and Barber had the same charges but were released on bail:

"[Her husband] Dwayne Lich has been proposed to act as her surety, meaning he would have to report if she breached any bail conditions.

In his testimony, he said he flew to Ottawa on Feb. 2 on a private jet at a cost of $5,000, paid for by a "nice gentleman" named Joseph that he'd only recently met.

"But he told me that my plane ride was taken care of, which was a miracle," he told the court.

The Crown questioned Dwayne Lich on his ability to serve as surety, given he'd been in Ottawa throughout much of the protests while his wife had been recorded telling protesters to "Hold the line at all costs."'

Seymour said a reasonable person could lose confidence in the administration of justice should King be released."
