At least in Australia, one can buy cinchona bark online and from brew shops for hobbyists who like to make their own tonic water. Cinchona bark is the source of quinine, of which hydroxychloroquine is a manufactured analogue. One can make decoction teas or port wine tinctures and follow the traditional malarial daily dosing. The problem is that quinine analogues have a much narrower profile of therapeutic effect. It just isn't as safe as ivermectin for newbies to muck around with, which is why my bag is still sitting sealed in the shed for now. Also, it tastes pretty awful for something that needs to be taken daily and indefinitely, far, far more bitter than tonic water.
