I very much enjoyed reading his exchange with Snowden on Twitter. Normally Taleb’s MO (even when he is correct about something) is to be aggressive and abusive on Twitter to anyone who disagrees with him and sic his large Twitter following on them and/or block them. But Snowden is one of the few people he argues with who is more famous than Taleb, has an even larger Twitter following who can fire back and has been intimidated and attacked by (literally) the most powerful people in the world and can fire back better than Taleb.
Incidentally Taleb may be going through some kind of midlife crisis - he also completely changed his mind on Bitcoin recently and is now calling it a scam when he used to be a strong supporter. This is not so much about whether he is right or wrong about Bitcoin - what is more interesting to me is the complete 180 degree turn in the absence of new information and why it happened.
