1) No, I wrote those books while still working entirely within the classic GD system. It was after I'd begun to explore other things that I began to trace out the problems with the GD system. My book The Celtic Golden Dawn makes use of one of the standard ways to avoid the imbalance, while the Fellowship of the Hermetic Rose material makes use of another.
2) There are many Rosicrucian orders. (I belong to five of them.) The Golden Dawn Rosicrucian material belongs to the Inner Order, which is in fact where the imbalances are strongest. Other Rosicrucian approaches, however, don't share those problems.
