He's wrong. I didn't watch the video -- I don't do visual media -- but I've had pagan deities help me in significant ways, and I know other people who've had similar experiences. Mind you, the gods won't do things for you that you can perfectly well do for yourself, and they have no patience with the overinflated sense of entitlement that's so common today, but if you're willing to work, they'll help you, sometimes in dramatic ways, sometimes in subtle but potent ways.
