Yes - emotional maelstrom - not sure if it matters so much what flavour than simply emotional disharmony venting via whatever their personality takes as red rag to bull.

Saying that, I did see a story about (IIRC) Zurich University deploying various AI bots on reddit in order to see if they could influence people - if people are interacting more with LLMs, the sky could be the limit for induced craziness.

I've certainly had the feeling that it's time to batten down the hatches and can appreciate the old idea of disappearing up a mountain to avoid the humans.
