It strikes me as dubious to place so much trust in corporate-media fact checkers, especially when -- as in this case -- the Times could have been facing a whale of a class action lawsuit from the parents of bullied children. Memory is fallible, but I do recall seeing live links to this op-ed piece being splashed around the internet in 2021.
