First, happy New Year, JMG, and thank you for Magic Mondays. May 2025 bring you rich blessings.
On New Year's Eve, I started to do my usual Tarot spread for the new year. I decided to try a new Marseilles deck rather than the standard Rider Waite deck I've been using for years. But I was confused when I realized some of that new deck's minor arcana cards don't appear to distinguish between up and reversed orientatione. Cerrtain cards looked the same when turned either way. Or at least I couldn't see a difference. So I simply went back to my regular deck for that reading.
Was I missing something? Or is this a deliberate design choice? And if so, which cards don't get a "polarity" in the Marseilles deck and why?
