Open (More or Less) Post on Covid 139

baffledWe are now in the third year of these open posts. As the phrase "died suddenly" repeats in the mass media like a mantra, statistics for work days lost to illness and all-cause mortality mount up in heavily vaccinated nations, and more and more ugly facts about the official response to Covid spill out into public, we are entering what may well turn out to be the most difficult period of the Covid disaster -- the phase in which denial rises in lockstep with the death rate, and a great many people try not to admit what has been done to them by the people and institutions they trusted. It could get ugly, folks.

So it's time for another open post. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. Also, please don't drag in current quarrels about sex, race, religions, etc. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, the floor is open for discussion.

Well, “transhuman spirits” are a bit of a reach… at least without ruling out the mundane possibilities. My first thought was, because I live in Ohio with its long history of both religious movements and hucksterism, that your friend is lining up to go full huckster with some revelation followed by the usual UFO cult procedure. But… he is a member of the PMC trying to push a creative project now running contrary to PMC conventional wisdom – that is, AIs, now that they threaten PMC jobs, are bad. So – pretending the wolf at the door is a cuddly puppy sets up the poor fellow for some serious cognitive dissonance. Add the small but important fact that the PMC by definition cannot be creative since that would be an act contrary to their role as servitors of the elite on top of the usual strains of maintaining a career path in a down-trending economy, and the resulting combination of cognitive dissonance and anxiety is overwhelming. Without other data, the aspiring Savior of the AI People has driven himself to madness by staking out an untenable position and trying to defend it with wishing-makes-it-so logic.

Transhuman spirits may be a bit of reach for some, I do not doubt this is not the case for some others. There is some literature about transhuman spirits (see Thomas Mayer https://www.thomasmayer.org/), as well as literature nature spirits, machine spirits, water spirits, and so on. The universe is a big, big, bonkers big and wacky place, after all. Who's right, who's nuts? I'm sure I myself don't know more than a nanoslice of it.

You wouldn't happen to have a direct link to the article? I couldn't find the one you mentioned.
Anyway - I start with physical reality first and work my way out. It's a dull and reliable method, yet it offers plenty of room for all the strange artifacts of the "modern world."

There is something about the spirits of transhumanism in this book

spirits of transhumanism

I think they would like to be called they/them, or legions, I don't think the demon hypothesis is gone.

JMG assumed that the demonic contact/contract was made somewhere in the Spring of 2017 because there is public evidence to it.

But here are the circumstantial evidence why that might have failed:
- The magical movement had no OpSec and was advertized and it was openly and succesfully fought;
- Donald Trump was having win after win;
- The PMC crowd lost the November 2018 election;

There are IMHO circumstantial evidence that there might have been other hexes subsequent to 2017 but with better OpSec I propose the date of Sprin 2019 for the new date of the demonic bargain, based on this reasons:

- since that first iteration didn't have the desired effect is very likely that people invested in these activities just tried further iteration with heavier stuff that was not that palatable to make public. Also they may have learned the power of OpSec.
- around middle of 2019 Trump and Republicans fortunes started to turn around.
- a lot of spiritual gunk, and a lot of heavy stuff like Goetia really starting to come front as a hype
see here: https://ecosophia.dreamwidth.org/273692.html?thread=47579420#cmt47579420
- republicans lost 2022 elections and seems and the MAGA and pepe crowd seem to have their fortune reversed

Speaking of bonkers. There is a block of buildings near where the bus I take to the subway turns. It dawned on me on day the buildings weren't there. I looked at them carefully - they do seem to be there. But the thought persisted - persists - that they are 'not there.' I have no idea whatsover what that means. Why on earth would I have that thought? I never thought the gas station across the street 'wasn't there' or the subway station itself.

I've had the same experience with an aqueduct and a record store - bins of old LPs just on the other side of reality!

John, might you consider opening an appropriate forum and possibly be persuaded to comment on the there / not there worlds?

I'd also be interested in those comments, as I've had similar experiences lately of feeling a wave of not-there-ness / unreality about parts of my material surroundings. (Until reading these 2 posts, I'd assumed it was related to my recent CGD work.)
