That's a very common experience! Standing stones concentrate the life force -- that's what they were originally put there to do -- but they do it according to patterns in time and space that nobody understands any more. As for why you sensed it and your daughter and the dog didn't, you may be (or may have been at that moment) just a little more sensitive to the life force than they were.
