Not the OP. I agree with you and see what you mean. But doesn't the equation change when the symbol is the newer "progress pride flag," with the bars for trans-identified people and non-white people? Search engines aren't working for me to find it but I know you wrote about this flag's symbolism. Where I live (New England), I see this newer, more aggressive version of the flag far more often than the old classic rainbow pride flag, which seems quaint and old-fashioned these days.
