CS user here. i tried vitamin I on my son, too; didn't get rid of the cough. i tried lots of different things, the only thing that helped was the nebulized CS. it's very straightforward to make, there's a website called "the art of making colloidal silver" that shows you how to make better CS (using a resistor is key) than most of the stuff you can buy.
