I don't think you should regret saying this at all. In truth, much as I've highly valued this forum, I've found the lack of a nuanced discussion on this issue frustrating. Unless I've missed such nuance, not having read every post, but the fact that you were nervous saying it shows the slant there is here.

I say that as someone who decided I wouldn't wear one myself, but more out of desire to protest ALL the B.S. and group think we'd been subject to.
