Do you happen to know where the emphasis on planetary day and hour in astrological magic came from? Picatrix and most of the medieval sources seem to be very Moon focused, so my guess is it might be an innovation by the Renaissance masters. But I am very confused that a number of very clever and capable people practicing the tradition contemporarily will elect consecrations only looking for planetary day and hour, sometimes while the Moon cannot behold the planet in question at all!
